Hey everyone! Happy Friday! 🥳🥂🍹
I’m not going to lie, as far as Fridays go today wasn’t the best... work was massively challenging due to technology failing us and my whole department & I were feeling stressed AF pretty much all day 😂 We earned our money today for sure! Most of them are probably drunk now after hitting the gin/wine/vodka at 5pm 🤣 I knew it was going to be bad when my laptop decided it needed to do a massive update at 8am 🤯 and it went downhill from there really!
Anywayyyyyyy... there’s no big update with the flat sale other than I have found a company who provide warranty for already-built individual flats 😀 The application form is far too complicated though so I’m just waiting to see what my conveyancers suggest.
It was my birthday the other day 🙂 I had a lovely day! I went shopping with my mum & a close friend and treated myself to some sunglasses, earrings and a pot of my favourite moisturiser (which isn’t the cheapest!). Then I collected the girls from school & my parents paid for a dominos take away for us all 😋😋
My parents also gave me some money, plus I got a Next voucher from the girls, a Costa voucher from my friend, Lush bath products from work and other smellies & choccies 😍 Last weekend I also went out for cocktails to celebrate with 5 friends and we all had a great time! I did end up spilling half of my pornstar martini down my leg though 😂🤦🏼♀️ It was at a roof terrace bar & it was really good! I’ll definitely be going back!
I suppose I should update on my finances. My tax credits have been updated since I told them I was paying childcare and wow - they’ve definitely dropped the amounts they’re giving haven’t they?! £35 a week childcare and they give me £2.69 a week towards it 😱😱 Mad isn’t it?! I am wondering if I’d be better off on universal credits now? I might look into it after I’ve moved (if that ever happens!).
Oh, I didn’t tell you... I’ve joined a netball team! And I had my first match a couple of nights ago. I was absolutely rubbish 😂😂😂 but I didn’t care, it was good fun and I obviously must’ve used a lot of muscles because I’m still aching now 😂 I was a bit nervous because I didn’t know anyone there & I hadn’t played it since school, but everyone was super friendly and the ref (not sure if that’s the correct term?!) was very complimentary afterwards which was extremely kind of her! She did also say that I need to be more confident, which is true but that will come in time after I’ve played some more games 😊😊😊
Anyway I think that’s all I need to update on now! I’ll try and not leave it so long next time 😀💗 xxx1 -
Your posts are always so positive, I enjoy reading them, good luck with the flat sale!1

Thank you Jox! I do try and stay positive. I must admit this year I’ve found it much easier to be positive - maybe because most of the things that were constantly getting me down were left in 2020. I have been having therapy every week, which I wasn’t going to say on here but it’s part of my “journey” (cringe!) so I’ll share... It’s really helping me get closure from that toxic relationship that I was in. I have found out some things since the break up (such as he cheated on me) and my therapist has been great at helping me process the information I was given. She can explain his behaviour in a way that helps me understand and realise I wasn’t going crazy! I feel sorry for his new girlfriend... she’s got her work cut out with him. I wouldn’t say I’m completely over his treatment towards me, but I’m 90% there. I’m not prepared to start a new relationship until I’m completely over the last one. I’m still talking to Mr Basketball Man and he’s very kind & lovely, but he knows where my head is at, so not a lot else is happening romantically. We are just friends really. Friends with potential. And he’s a very good-looking friend 😂😂😍
Can someone let Spring know that she is meant to be here now by the way?? Because Winter is still hanging around like a bad smell! 😂 Seriously though, what is with this weather?! ☔️☔️☔️3 -
My conveyancers e-mailed me today saying they have contacted the buyer’s solicitors and suggested again they proceed with the lack of NHBC or Building Standards Warranty Indemnity Insurance Policy and let us know the cost of the same. They also said that if the buyer is insistent on a warranty being in place, they will need to obtain the same themselves, albeit the above policy would be suffice under the circumstances particularly in view of the age of the property now. Any major issues would only be covered for the first two years apparently, which I did not know.
My house seller’s estate agent called me too, saying absolutely everything is done on that side as confirmed with the seller’s solicitors. So it’s literally just this warranty issue that’s holding everything up. I pray it gets sorted soon! 🙏🏼3 -
Well done on the therapy, it helps to invest in our health mental, physical etc, I had some zoom group therapy sessions last year and my husband has had regular therapy phone sessions for months, it's helped us
Fingers crossed the warranty issue is sorted soon!1 -

Thank you both! I haven’t heard any more from my conveyancers unfortunately. I imagine they’re arguing with the buyer’s solicitors, so I’m just letting them get on with it. I’m sure I’ll hear something soon! Maybe...
It’s been another busy week here. Highlights include passing my probation, winning at netball, and booking DD2 in for swimming lessons FINALLY! She starts next weekend. I luckily managed to move DD1’s swimming lesson to the same time, so no more rushing around after school on a Friday. Yay! 😁
Next weekend is also DD1’s birthday so yesterday me & my mum went shopping & bought her some presents. I’ve booked us to go to the local trampoline park on the actual day, and then we will either go out for a meal or get a take away ☺️ Should be a nice, fun day! 😍

Flat sale update... (WHEN WILL IT END?!)
Buyer’s solicitors are being stubborn. Despite indemnity insurance being absolutely no different to having warranty (due to the age of the flat) they were still insisting on having warranty. That’s what they told my solicitors anyway, however, bizarrely they told my estate agent that they’re asking the buyer’s mortgage lender if they’ll accept indemnity insurance, and they’ve even asked the EA to help them with filling out an application form for a quote 🤔 So naturally I told my solicitors what the EA told me, they asked the solicitors to confirm, and they denied it 🤯😖
WOW.
So I’m now trying to find a surveyor to help me with the warranty application form, whilst trying to stay sane 😂
In other news, I went to the cinema last night to see a rubbish film, and I also went to the pub! Inside! It was incredible 😍 such a good night. And I’m going to another pub again tomorrow 😂2
