Fingers crossed you find a nice house soon and sounds like the toxic ex is better off out of your life. Focus on you and your girls. At least you have good parental support.

  • Thank you both! I have some pretty big MSE news! My family loan has been written off! So I’m officially not in debt at all, except the mortgage! 😀😀😀

    Very grateful of course!!! ❤️

The girls and I went for a nice walk today and then we went to my parents’ house for the afternoon 🙂 I haven’t eaten a lot but the girls don’t like what I’ve given them so I’m probably going to eat their leftovers 😂🙄

  • My plans are to save as much as I can and buy a house that I love! The mortgage payment went out today which has boosted the deposit fund a tiny bit and I’m set to put an extra £1,100.00 into my savings account at the end of the month 😱 It’s going to be tough but I really want to save as much as possible!

It’s a teacher training day today so the girls will be here keeping me company while I work 🙂 I need to submit my expenses which I kept forgetting to do last month! It’s only about £10.00 but every little helps! I also need to buy some milk as I’m almost out 😬

How much do you have in actual savings now? Maybe after you have enough for basic expenses it might be worth overpaying mortgage rather than putting it into savings account for deposit as then you save on the interest.

Thats great news and means you can boost your deposit savings pot or overpay the mortgage.

  • Well it looks like homeschooling whilst working is the new plan for the next few weeks at least! 😫🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

I have £4,350.00 in savings. Overpaying my mortgage won’t save hardly anything really and if the sale falls through then that money won’t be accessible. Maybe I’ll start overpaying once contracts are exchanged though!

I managed to drop off some paperwork to the Conveyancors today on my lunch break - good job really now that we are in a full lockdown. My mum invited us round for dinner & she gave me a bottle of milk to take home as she had overstocked by accident 😂 so that saved me a trip!

Someone has asked me out on a date - he actually wants me to bubble up with him!! Erm no lol 🤣
  • Fair enough I can see why it might be better to have it as cash rather than overpay the mortgage in the short term. Let's hope the sale goes through for you.
