Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom
  • Thank you 😊

It has been another busy week. Full of ups & downs. Let’s just focus on the ups though 🙂🙂

I HAVE SOLD THE FLAT!!!!! 🎉🥂

Well, I’m 99% sure I have anyway! A couple came over this morning to view it. It wasn’t in its usual immaculate condition as I was too busy this weekend to scrub it, but obviously they must’ve liked it as they put in an offer straight away & I accepted!! The estate agent needs to see one more proof of deposit (only around £3K) and then it coming off the market! Woo hoo! 🥳🥳🥳

I daren’t get excited but I can’t help it! I’ve been waiting for this day for a long long time 😍

Work is good but busy. I’ll be happy when I get a rest over Christmas!

Speaking of which, I finally started my Christmas shopping yesterday ☺️ My mum & I went to London for the day which was lovely. We went to Oxford Street, Regent Street, and then Harrods. And had lunch at The Ivy in Soho 😍 It was lovely! Mum paid for lunch bless her, and then transferred £70 into my account to cover the travel costs as I drove. She’s so naughty.

One thing amused me. I don’t have a lot of photos of me & my mum so I asked a waitress if she would take a pic of us from my phone. She said she wasn’t allowed to because of covid, and then she took my glass away that my hands & mouth had touched repeatedly 😂 I resisted saying something 😉

Even though I’ve started the Christmas shopping I’ve still got so much to buy. I have 4 birthdays this month aswell 🙈

That’s great news regards the flat congratulations very exciting 😀👍
  • Awwww thank you all! It’s really so exciting to think that in early 2021 me & the kids will be moving into a house somewhere! 😍😍 Assuming this sale goes ahead, I’m going to speak to a mortgage broker to see what my options are. Now that I’m not paying childcare I should be able to get a bigger mortgage. But it still might not be enough to buy somewhere without a load of issues, so we will see! Either way I won’t be here, and regardless I won’t be buying another leasehold property! 😀

Brilliant news PB and absolutely agree with you about not buying another leasehold property.  So much better to own the land your property sits on!  Hope you can get a big enough mortgage to buy what you really want.

  • I agree no leasehold if you can avoid it. My next property won't be that's for sure. But sadly when you first get on ladder that's often the only option available to people and that's how they catch you out.
