PB’s Very Exciting Diary...!

Hey everyone. Sorry for going AWOL, I needed to take a time out. The last 2 weeks have been horrible. I haven’t been eating, and I’ve lost too much weight. Sleep has been rubbish too. There are some updates that I wanted to share on here though so I thought I’d pop on...
Update 1
The offer I got on my flat actually couldn’t go ahead. I ended up accepting it, as my parents begged me to & offered their place for me & the kids until I could rent somewhere, however the buyer then came back & said his mortgage broker told him it was too much. I’ve had a couple more viewings since, with one investor saying maybe. Meanwhile the neighbours have been absolutely awful & I’m at the point of complaining to the managing agents to them. I told them to keep the noise down last night, which worked for 15 minutes, then they started again. No consideration and I have had enough. I ended up driving to my parents’ house at 11:15pm in my pyjamas just so I could sleep! Ridiculous.
Update 2
My ex (hate calling him that) and I may get back together. We are in a limbo situation. It’s like a rollercoaster. At the moment as I type this, it’s up, but I expect there to be a down in the next couple of days. I don’t want to say too much on here but I just hope we get to a happy place soon. We went on a date last night to the bowling alley which was really good fun & both of us were laughing & joking (& flirting) so I’m hopeful, but I am trying not to get too hopeful. I’ve been so heartbroken since the split hit me & I never want to feel that pain again.
Update 3
Last Monday I was out with my mum & the girls when I got a call from an agency. Basically a company had seen my CV and without interviewing me offered me a part-time job! It’s a temp role which is I’m guessing why I didn’t get interviewed but I was still shocked, as my last place still interviewed temps. Anyway, I start on Wednesday. It’s going to be 3 hours a day at first & then it will increase to 5 hours which is perfect. The contract ends in February but that may change. I just need to make sure that the new lockdown rules doesn’t change anything!
Update 4
On Friday (2 days ago) I had a doctors appointment and a counselling session (£40 for an hour). Assuming I can still work in this new role I will be having counselling every week. I’ve already noticed a difference but it's very early days.
Today I’m extremely bored so I’m going to try and find something to do. I was debating going food shopping but I just know that the supermarkets will be full of people panic buying 🙄 and I don’t have the patience for it! Maybe I’ll just go for a walk x3 -
Good morning all! I ended up going to Next yesterday to pick something up for DD2. I went into a couple of other shops with the intention of buying something for myself, but I ended up leaving with nothing. I just wasn’t in the mood to shop, and after the last couple of weeks, I felt that clothes and shoes weren’t enough to make me happy.
Today I have already done the school run, got some food in, and put petrol in my car. The shelves in the supermarket weren’t as bare as I thought! I even managed to get some toilet roll 😂
The direct debits went out this morning and I have transferred £500.00 into savings. The new balances are as follows:
Mortgage: £81,364.70
Family loan: £6,000.00
Savings: £3,000.00
A couple more days of being at home & then it’s back to work for me! The agency called me yesterday saying that the finance manager had contacted them saying they still want me in despite the lockdown rules which was a relief! Very kind of him to let the agency know on a Sunday, I think he suspected I was worrying about it!1 -
Been enjoying reading through your diary
Hope your new job goes well! How exciting to go out freelance.

Thank you greensalad.
Sadly the owner of the company I was going to be working for has decided to shut the offices, and training is too difficult to do remotely, so they’ve had to let me go. Very disappointing, but also not surprising. This is a very common repercussion of lockdowns. I’m just thankful that I don’t need a job right now.
So, back to focusing on my online business 100%, which has not had my full attention due to the break up.

Oh no, that sucks. Well at least you have your own business to fall back on which is ideal to have in these times! Something to rely on.1

Morning all, I hope you’re all feeling ok now we are all officially back in lockdown. My last day of freedom yesterday was very nice. I used my dad’s treadmill after the school run, then went out for lunch with a friend, & then got my eyebrows done 😊 It was just what I needed.
Today I have a job interview. It’s for a permanent part-time role, however they are based 30 miles away! Which is really far but they do have a site where I live so if I get the job it’s possible they’d allow me to work closer to home a couple of days a week or something. We’ll see!1 -
Good luck with interview @Pink_Butterfly.0

Thank you. It went ok - I may be asked to meet them for a 2nd interview. Hopefully I’ll find out today.
The situation with my now ex is not great. I’m pretty sure it’s finished. We are hanging on by a thread. I’m an emotional wreck some days but my parents’ gym is helping me. I really love feeling the endorphins - they help me so much.0 -
I am sorry to hear about your relationship, I have been with my OH for 8 years and if we split I think I would be totally done with them. Finding a gem that will be there for you is so difficult, I am too old and tired to go through all that again. Hope you feel good again soon, until then, endorphinsGoal to Clear Debts £4592 Total Progress since 03/10/2020 £2802
