Change of plan for tonight - I’m now going to my friend’s house instead as she’s “having a fat day”... if she’s fat then I’m a hippo! Anyway I’m secretly glad, as I much prefer going to a friend’s house than a bar these days. She’s just split up with her boyfriend so I’m sure his ears will be burning a lot! 🔥🔥🔥😂

It was lovely catching up with my other friend this morning. Her son is 20 months old, and he’s into EVERYTHING 😂 I forgot how hard work toddlers are! You definitely need eyes in the back of your head. He’s absolutely adorable though and my friend is bringing him up on her own & is doing a fabulous job. She was nosing at some of my side business products and wanted my favourite item, so she gave me the cash & asked me to order it for her 😊 So that’s my first sale of August!

We went round OH’s this afternoon for an hour which was nice. I love how the girls are with him - there is a great bond between them. I can’t wait until we all live together ❤️❤️

Oh... a complaint about Yodel. They were meant to deliver some returns to ASOS for me, but instead they delivered it back to me! Gah! So I’ve contacted ASOS and requested a returns bar code for Royal Mail instead 🙄 I can then post it on Monday, along with a card to my friend up north who has got a new amazing job ☺️

Last night was lovely despite my poor friend having a tough time. She’s strong though, & quite frankly she is better off without him! She did drinks & nibbles and we sat chatting until almost midnight 😍 She was still laughing & joking which was nice to see, in fact if anything she looked more relieved than heartbroken.

Today I did some washing & then spent the day with OH and his family. It was a lovely day & his mum did a fabulous meal for us all bless her 😍 

I’ve not spent any money this weekend which is great! I’ll need to get some food in at some point, but I’m hoping to wait until Wednesday. I might see if there is a click & collect available as I’m really struggling with wearing the PPE masks 😟

Good morning! Just about to start work but before I do I wanted to update now that all the direct debits have gone out. Balances are as follows:

Family loan: £6,500.00
Mortgage: £81,800.00
Savings: £2,500.02

My phone contract is ending next month. It’s a SIM only deal, and I’d love to switch to another s/o deal but this phone is on its way out. It’s not even 3 years old but there are quite a few things wrong with it (probably done purposely by Apple...), so I need to do some research & get another phone. I tried Samsung just before I got this one but I haaaaated it - thankfully 3 let me swap it for an iPhone 7. I generally get on better with iPhones, but their battery life sucks and I notice things going wrong quite quickly. Or maybe it’s just bad luck! 🤪

I’ve just transferred some money from my “business” account to my current account. It was the money that paid for my franchise & starter kit, so now that I’ve made that back (and more) I’ve sent it across. Next thing I need to do is transfer across the money that I’ve spent on products for myself, but I’ll let that build up a bit first 🙂

A small spend yesterday on biscuits... I needed sugar 😂🙈

Last night I went to OH’s and was trying to plan my mum’s 60th (next month). It’s proving to be quite difficult! 🙉 I need to order her a cake, and see if I can get a flower wall, decorations etc. I’ve e-mailed a celebrity’s management team to see if they can get him to do a video call or something on her birthday 😂 they probably won’t even respond but it’s worth a go!

What is wrong with some people? I didn’t get a response from ASOS so I’ve just drove back to the shop where I originally dropped off my parcel (before Yodel delivered it back to me 🙄). The shop assistant was so rude, and really aggressive in her tone! “Well, Larry might not take it back quite frankly!!” Errrrr, ok, why are you talking like that to me?! I would understand if I was being unpleasant, but I wasn’t! I explained what had happened in a calm tone (I had no reason to be anything otherwise, it was the courier’s fault, not theirs) and asked politely if I could re-send the return items, and she just gave me this attitude. In front of a queue full of people aswell. I felt so embarrassed 😥

Anyway, if I don’t get the refund then I’ll have to go back there to see if this Larry guy took the parcel. I’ll give them 7 days.

I also posted my card while I was there so that’s done now. I need to do a little food shop at some point today before the girls come back. I’ve made a list & I don’t need to get much to be honest.

Gosh, that woman has really got to me! I was already feeling a bit blue because I’m missing my mum & feeling sad about the world we are in right now. I honestly didn’t need that 😞

Sending hugs lovely. I know what it's like, when you're sad and down about something it doesn't take much of an encounter (particularly a rude one) to break you. Don't let it get you down though, try and do something fun or pamper yourself a little this afternoon to take your mind off everything and make you feel better. xx

Thanks MeandO. Feeling a bit better today. Annoyingly ASOS replied to me shortly after I returned home from dropping off the parcel 😒 But hopefully the delivery driver has taken it. I might pop in there at some point to check, rather than wait 10 days for an e-mail confirmation from ASOS saying they’ve received it.

My closest friend is a financial/life coach (amongst many things!) and we were messaging back & forth yesterday about my goals in life. In all honesty I feel like I’m stuck in a rut. I don’t love my job, and I feel like I’m going to be feeling very meh for the next 35 years 😟 I can not rely on a lottery win to make things better. I don’t want to get any fancy qualifications. I just want to do something that I enjoy and that pays really well.

I already have an idea but it comes with consequences. I’m seeing OH tonight so I’ll discuss it with him. I think he will be supportive. The problem is, some friends won’t be...

Anywayyyyyy the girls are back with me now for a few days. I have work today, so unfortunately they’ll be bored, but I’ll make it up to them tomorrow 😊 I’ve got a wash on & have washed up the breakfast things so I can now concentrate on the massive workload that I have 🙈

As I type this I am melting 🥵 I don’t know how people can function in this heat! I am hot, sweaty and fed up with the army of flies that keep appearing! Sorry for whinging but gahhhhh!

Today has been productive (before I got too hot!). I went to the office for the first time this morning - it’s a new office, and I’d not seen any of my colleagues in nearly 5 months so it was nice to see them & say hello! It was also the first time that they met my girls. My boss was very chatty with them 😊 & one of the ladies offered sweets & cookies which got DD1 out of her shyness 🥰

I managed to sell some of DD2’s old school uniform for £10 to someone who I used to work with, so I had a nice catch up with her & then after getting home I made both girls try on the other school uniform that was left to see how much still fits. Surprisingly most did! I’ve made a list of what I need to buy but it really isn’t much at all. The £10 will pay for DD2’s polo shirts, then I need to get her some sports leggings for PE, possibly some new tights, and depending on what size her feet are now, new shoes. I’m hoping that she will fit into DD1’s old shoes though. They’re not cheap but I don’t mind if they get 2 years of wear 😁

DD1 just needs a top & shorts for PE, 2 pinafore dresses, and new shoes. And possibly new trainers aswell as she’s complaining about the ones she’s currently got. She’s not had them long! She can be sneaky sometimes and pretend her shoes are hurting her so that she gets new ones... little madam!

The girls sorted through their underwear & socks drawers and threw out anything that had seen better days. I’ll see how they get on before I buy any new ones - they did have too many so they might still have enough.

OH came over last night & we discussed my 10 year plan. He was supportive - he brought up a couple of concerns which I was expecting, but I know that I can avoid those things being an issue 😊

Right, time to shower & rinse the sweat off me & the kids lol x

Happy Saturday! 😀☀️

I popped round a friend’s house this morning as it’s her birthday. It was just a quick visit as she had another friend there, but that’s ok because we are celebrating properly next weekend 😊 After that me & the kids went to Tesco to get a few things, including some school uniform. Just the polo tops for DD2 and PE tops for DD1, which came to a total of £8 🙂 Not much more to get now! DD2 must’ve asked me 20 times when we are getting new school shoes, I think she’s excited about it 😆

The kids requested pizza for dinner and the one they wanted was half-price, so I bought that aswell, plus some milk, a naughty ready meal for myself on Monday, and some biscuits 😆 Healthy!

Saw OH last night again, and we are going to his in about an hour or so for our weekly visit. The kids will be at their dad’s tonight, and I’ll be out at one of my favourite restaurants with OH, my friend and her husband 😍 I’m excited! I’ve not been to this restaurant since February & everyone knows how much I’ve missed it 😂

I’ve got soooooo much change in my purse. They belong to my kids, as it’s all the pocket money they’ve saved, but I’m trying to get rid of it and instead have their money saved in my bank account. I’ve got an allocated section for them in my spreadsheet. As a result, my purse weighs an absolute tonne and I need it gone quickly 😂 Normally I’d use it at Tesco at the self-service checkout but they’re only taking card payments. I may have to go to the bank which I really can not be bothered to do 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Last night was really lovely... the food was worth the wait & it was lovely catching up with my friend & her husband (I say catch up, we text every single day, so I mean face-to-face 😂). She brought some old embarrassing photos of us to show OH 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ I was cringing! I looked, quite frankly, DREADFUL 😂😂😂 Anyway, after looking at the last picture she told me I had missed one. I looked down and there were no photos left so I didn’t know what she meant, but then I saw something from a hospital so I opened it up and it was a baby scan picture 😭😭😭 Once my brain started working properly & I realised she was telling me that she’s pregnant I balled lol. Apparently I was more emotional than any of her family members 😂🙈 Her daughter is DD2’s bestie, and I thought they weren’t going to have any more, so I was really shocked! But also ecstatic. Baby will be here in January/February 🥰

Despite my emotional reaction, it hasn’t made me broody 🤣 I absolutely love babies (still waiting to see my other friend’s 2-week-old baby... dying to sniff his tiny newborn head!! 😆) but I’m not having any more... I’m happy with my girls! Although DD1 said to me the other day that she wants me to have another one 😳 lol.

I didn’t go to bed until midnight and I have been awake since 5:10am due to my pathetic bladder and insect-bitten toes 😭 my mum’s out-of-date cream isn’t working well so I must buy some today. I’ve already washed up and had a coffee, and it’s only 7:20am! ON A SUNDAY! At least I can just chill for a bit before I need to get up and crack on with the day 😊
