Thanks for your comments on the painting it is Danish when my gran died my mum gave me a chose of several paintings I chose that one apparently only one that had any real value to it. I love it so happy to have it back up. Yes I love the striped carpet it makes me happy and looks nice against the oak floor downstairs. We have grey carpets in the bedrooms but it find them very boring also I like a little bit of brown and blue too much grey otherwise.

Another nsd today journal updated. Only got 5 non nsd so spent less than 1/4 of my budget. Had the electrician over today for the drying room. Annoyingly he placed the sockets so hit the cable on the heated dryer won't reach. We can get an extension cable so that will solve that.

Going over to collect some more records from storage in a min then dinner. Done Joe Wicks and ran 4 laps of the hilly field at lunchtime. Bootcamp class tomorrow but dinner shower and chill tonight.

Once again thanks for all the referrals of Simply Cook just checked you can only use 1 free per month so this will keep me going for quite some time.

Another nsd still only spent £39 this month cannot wait to shuffle money around but have to wait until I get paid which should be Friday.

Two long meetings at work today feel a bit fried so much screen time.  Got bootcamp tonight and Danish dinner which is quick to do as all of it is frozen so just needs heating up. Root vegetable mash with picked hot red cabbage and a Danish sausage called medister. Yummy.
Trying to cut down on the sweet stuff really hard after Christmas.

I've had another NSD today too!  @TallGirl
I'm also trying to avoid sugar post Christmas and I think I'm through the worst but I know there is still a chance I would give in to temptation!

Wow are we twins caeler sugar is so hard an I have not cracked it yet. Actually very naughtily last night ScandiKitchen was doing a half price sale of their pick and mix so spent £30.99 incl postage but got 18 bags. I know it sounds a lot but it's for dg too and spend from joint account so still nsd.

Had a call from my solicitors who I used to buy this place I had forgotten to cash a £21 cheque so they are putting that in my bank account. Going to use my credit to get some more decaf coffee from Nero also get a fee drink so not too bad.

Quality coffee and unexpected money.  Great news.
For sure cannot beat that. I'm so pleased work is finished as I've been on one call after another. Is good to be busy but also hard spending so long on the screen. My job is definitely a lot more interesting now I get to speak to so many different people which I really enjoy both externally and internally.

Another nsd 16 now don't even feel like spending but not been out. Got 4 free coffees now for Nero so that will be a saving for when I can get out.

Did a small bit of money shuffling as my regular saver with Santander matured and went into our join account. Created a savings pot for the front garden and now got £4235 in it. Should mean I can move my emergency fund/money if I do not have a job in March to Premium Bonds hopefully £20k worth. I'll still have my £12k challenge money (if I ever get a number lol) and my surplus money Saved from my £200 spending money. Should be enough as I've got nothing to spend on.

Bootcamp tonight then dinner and hottub later. Had to rush out last night in the dark and rain to pump water out of the swimming pool it was way too high for the liner to like it and if it did overflow would end up on then house as it's raised in the garden. Getting so much quicker at it now plus doing the chemicals in the hottub. Do need to change the water but will be at the weekend bigger job.

Friday just cannot come soon enough so busy. Also learnt that an old family friend has died aged 73 her daughter was my sisters best friend and her parent very well known where I grew up and friends with my mum and dad. So sad but she had severe mental health issues so maybe for the best. Her poor daughter lost her dad years ago and a brother really young to cancer. Horrible but at least is wasn't Covid.

Just stay safe not worth getting this horrible COVID.

Weekend is here hurrah been the longest busiest week ever. Nsd yesterday but did notice bloody CafeNero had taken not only the credit I had but also a payment out of my account. Emailed them want that money back and not as a credit if they cannot sort their payments out. It's total rubbish but the coffee is good.

Used my spice kit to cook the Jerk Chicken omg that was amazing. I used 4 chicken breast instead of 8 thighs and it was still spicy enough for us.  More than enough food plus two big portions for the freezer. I used bulgar instead of rice looks a bit funny colour as you can see but tasted lovely. Ate in the pool bar should have put the heating on earlier but nice to feel like you were out lol.  We did order another kit but quite a few were sold out sadly.

Today we have a few jobs to do incl going to B&Q to get some poles for the new drying room. That's us done then in there. Also need to check some more records as the guy is coming tomorrow morning to buy them. Dg is doing well with getting rid so hopefully this keeps up the momentum.

Payday yesterday but will sweep surplus over on the 1st but did have £260 left in current account after meeting my £1000 target (still not got a number lol on the challenge so cannot update). I'll leave the £260 in there as a buffer.
Should not be any big expenses in February the flights for July will be covered by joint account and if the March hotel stay goes ahead it's paid for and we have spending money in holiday fund. We do have some bits we want to buy for the house but it can wait a bit.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

The food looks great TG.  I have opted for the Jerk Chicken in my kit.  I hope it tastes as good as it looks.

I am still amazed that you are still using the hot tub.  I winterised mine as soon as it started to get too cold.  You are brave, or I feel the cold too much!  I couldn't imagine being outside at the moment, the wind is too cold.  But am looking forward to the warmer weather!

Glad everything is going your way, certain you can sort out the Cafe Nero mistake quickly.

Oh a fellow hot tub owner how exciting I did know that. Ours is fully isolated you can have frost on the lid and it doesn't melt. We don't actually use it a lot in summer as we have the pool and find it's too hot during the day. Winter can be cold but it's not far from the house and as long as it's not raining or too windy it's lovely.

Got another box of records done ready for the guy tomorrow. Still 4 or 5 boxes to go but he insisted on coming this weekend. Keeps us going which is good.
Successfully changed the water in the hottub just need to balance the ph tomorrow. It was dirty so glad we did it. Went to B&Q got the poles for the drying room had to buy new brackets but got cheaper rods so works out the same.  I'm sure we will find use for them at some point. Got beading for window ledge in pool bar to hide light strip it will need cutting and painting obviously. Also got more masks so £30 joint funds spent. Got a hot dog from the van outside first "eating out" since before Xmas. Sat in the car. Drove back in the most glorious sunset along the coast road from the hill top. Lucky to live here for sure.

Talked about selling my Mac book it's 2 years old got it to study on and also as I did not have a pc or laptop at home. Never use it but if my job doesn't renew I'll need it but dg might get works computer so we won't need it then. We shall see it's £450 on MusicMagie.
Oh and a nsd for me.
