Morning lovely sunny day here. Browsing in bed and for some reason looking at my LidlPlus app did you know you can get three months free digital subscription on Readly from the app. Well it's not just one magazine it's loads plus newspapers. I've checked and it's easy to cancel you have to do it from the website and not the app. I'm reading gardeners world right now and I'm going out in a bit to chop my front garden down a bit. If you haven't got lidlplus ive got a link for one free month https://get.readly.com/ but I would not bother it's only one month,
While we are on the topic of freebies not sure if I mentioned our SimplyCook if I have I'm so sorry but we cooked two more this weekend Hallumi Burger and Santa Fee Salad. Last one was great first one not so much. We love the DanDanNoodles with quorn mince and Katsu curry. It is £2.50 a spice kit but it cooks enough for 4 and it is like getting a take away as it's so good. It's got a shopping card with each and it's about 25 min to cook each dish. Here is my link we both get a free box and you can cancel at anytime so no need to get more than the free box. You can always by a one off box if you want to try more or refer someone else for a box. I referred dg so we each got a box so I've still to pay for full price for one as my first one was £1. https://simplycook.com/invite/H2DPFP?via=appHope you're not offended by me sharing those links I'm just pleased with both things but do look out you can't get a better deal elsewhere I've check cashback sites etc but even so do your own homework.Had a little money shuffle in preparation for payday and the £12k challenge (if I get a challenge number I messed my first post) . My Monzo savings pots are now called "left over day to day spending" (sweeping what's left of my £200 budget into each month). Second pot is a £12k challenge pot to put £500 into after payday (might lower it and count my money box savings so it's only £430 but we shall see)
Finally there are two that gets 0.15%interest called long term savings and BTL. If dg does not need to BTL loan I'll buy premium bonds for both of those and put the garden budget in one and keep the other for the £12k challenge. Hope that made sense hopefully it will make sense to me after payday.Today should be nsd as the magazines were free so all good I hope.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Looking good TG. You have a clear goal and are getting there. I haven't tried Monzo before, heard a lot about it, but it has so far eluded me. Perhaps I should take the time to see if it would suit my lifestyle. It took me ages to integrate MoneyBox into my life, so this may be a step too far!!What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Thank you so much Viking much appreciated hope you enjoy them. The lamb koftas a great too. Tahlullah Monzo is great I don’t use it as a current account just spending money and savings pots. With the spending you can categorise everything you spend a money advisers dream really. It is a bit of a faff to set up as you have to scan things and take a picture of yourself. Once you’re set up it’s also dead easy to send money to people. I don’t think they do refer a friend or I would send you a link lol.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Cheers TG. Have just signed up for the Simply Cook freebie as well. I will look into the Monzo account, but to be fair, I have very little spare money to take advantage of. But I will look closely and perhaps I can integrate it into my financial life, especially if I don't have to run it as my main current account! What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Thanks both for signing up I've now got enough boxes to last me a while best get coking then I really hope you enjoy them and do let me know what you ordered and what you think of them. I'll be doing my next order next week as only got two left and cooking the jerk chicken Friday. By the way it's worth looking at the review as you get some good tips from prev customers on each recipe.Very productive here three things off the to do list, one shrub trimmed in the garden and a happy hour leaning how to use my sewing machine. DGs records have all been listed we now need to collect some more to do during the week as the guy who is going to buy them is coming next weekend.Cooking a mini roast dinner and have made cereal musli for the week so feeling very virtuous. Just posting a photo of the upstairs landing finally got my grans old painting up.Save £12k in 25 No 49
