So nice to have time off and chilling out although we are getting loads of stuff t has been having around for ages.  When DGs mums died she took everything down here and it's been in the loft ever since. She decided we could let go of quite a bit but sadly charity shops are closed in tier 4 so it's all in spare room. Looks so much better in the loft now actually space which will no doubt be filled up once we empty the last out of London. Going up there Saturday taking two cars. Storage unit hired for 6 months she has to deal with the records before then. Also changed some of my final addresses I had not sorted until now. Still need to do Barclays really must do that.

Today is a bit more garden tidy up and I want to get out for a walk. Also need to venture to the shops I think.

Really want to get to grips with savings for 2021 would love to join the £12k challenge but since I've only saved £6k this year it is quite a stretch but maybe I need that.  I have enough clothes and golf stuff and we've booked with my family a lovely cottage on the beach for a week so a cheap holiday in July. Also hopefully going over  in April for a holiday to DK if my niece does get confirmed. Hopefully it will be a hot summer like the last would be nice now that we cannot go abroad.

Hope you all have lovely day very frosty here

You don't have to save 12k - quite a few have lower targets x

Just had a look at this time last year on the diary and there is no New Years goals so let's try and make some this year as I feel very settled now the flat is empty and cancelled. Was really hard but next door had just moved in and had very little so did a couple of brothers across the way so they took most of the stuff and helped us carry loads down which was just fab. Felt fitter doing the 10 flights of stairs so bootcamp has worked. Also brought the scales down interesting to see what they say.

All done but knackered now even after a soak in the hot tub. So let's do some goals

    • Save £12k in 2021 joined the challenge so need to up my savings by £500 as only saving £500 a month currently.
    • Get ex dh business premised put in my name exBIL said he was fine so now is the time to tell him I'm actually doing it.
    • Sort the front and side garden out so I can grow my own veg again and potter in an actual garden will cost to get it done by budgeted for already £8k max
    • Move cash savings into Premium Bonds and try to reach £50k again would be so nice if I can.
    • Play more golf with the ladies comps even if DG does not want to play
    • Keep fitness levels up min 2 a week classes (ideally 4) plus fast walk and run at lunchtime.
I think that will do something to come back to in 2022 let's hope I keep my job for another year that would really help do not fancy external job hunting at the moment.

Moving everything out of the flat was bloody hard work but next door wanted loads new guardians with hardly anything plus a couple of brothers across the way wanted some too. They also helped carry loads downstairs so in the end we just left a small amount which hopefully will be taken or carried downstairs.

Glad it's done and today took the records to the storage place and unpacked a bit still got some to do but not loads thankfully. Tired but good workout in the end.

Diet will be back tomorrow been pigging out all xmas. Did budget today I'm going to allow myself £200 spend a month joint account covers all food and takeaways eating out so really should be enough. I can save £1000 a month but it will be tight. Will be good though as I can get that garden done without depleting my savings completely. Only bought a coffee driving back yesterday as needed a break and fancied one. No spend today.

Work tomorrow been fab to have time off and really chill should be ok going back as I know what I'm doing and I'll enjoy it so all is good but a longer break would have been good too.

    Night night all.

No spend day yesterday but not today £1.50 on some camomile lotion and £3 on a bikini bottom for dg so I can have mine back down from £7 so bargain really.

Had my mammogram and got some work done plus handed over old laptop to DGs uncle for her cousin who is home schooling. Well parents are useless but at least it's better than what she was using.

Looks like my Nero subscription got sent to London so asked for resend or money back. There wasn't a card up there so it must have got lost or something I just want that sorted still saves on lattes in the coffee shops for sure.

Golf is obviously off again so although we are paying this month it will be suspended so diving £220 a month between us which will help joint account. Need plumber out so we can turn outside shower off looks like valve is hidden by kitchen cabinets and also leak in roof but recommended roofer has not got back to us. Hopefully not too expensive.

Had our Asda order thank goodness we have a slot although Asda wasn't too busy when I went to the chemist earlier. Bootcamp tonight and homemade curry from freezer so easy dinner.

Another no spend day I've started using the bullet journal I won via the postcode lottery. Wasn't sure what it was but now I've seen a few YouTube videos it makes sense. Not sure I'll do all the fancy stuff but it's great to mark my NSD's and also the £12k challenge. I'll take a picture tomorrow but warning I have awful handwriting but maybe that will improve with this. I'll do the wiring in the evening before bed gets me off the screens at least. Also stuck DGs records on marketplace and sold for £40. She has loads more these were just the ones valued below £3 and the guys is interested in more he's setting up a new record shop. It would be easier than her listing them all on eBay with the hassle of that. She still has some old toys to sell and I have a spare screen to sell which I must list.

No other real exciting news (not that that was but you know). First week back to work seems to be dragging.

I'd be really interested to see how you do use the bullet journal for this. I like the idea of them but am not very inspired - but I also need ways of motivating myself to keep going on the money saving etc.
