Didn't get it I came third would be offered it if the other two pull out for some reason which is unlikely. He couldn't even offer any feedback all good just slightly pipped I was. I asked about the second tier job he said I could certainly do it but felt I was better suited for the managers role. Gutted but there will be others and maybe it's also worse as I really do not like my own job but still have more to learn at least.

Onwards and upwards. Been good today food wise and done pump. Shower and dinner now then possibly hottub. Body still aches.

Sorry to hear that.  But positive to know you were aiming at the right level, even if you didn't get the job.  Hope you can find something better soon.

Sorry I've neglected this there has been a slight twist in the job saga as the person who would have been that posts line manager is leaving so that job is now up for grabs. Looking at it is is quite a step up so I do not think I will go for it but the likely good of someone lower down going for it and thereby opening up another job could happen couldn't it?

At least I'm busy with my own work and it is not too bad at the moment obviously March is hurdling towards me so will need something else but time out would be fab for a while too.

Seen BIL and sil a few times all is good with them house is being rented out and they have lots of interest so that is good. Bil is talking about living over here permanently in a few years.  We shall see but we are both welcome to visit them in South Africa which is great.

Upcycling of the side board is going well getting there now that golf is off again more time to do that.

Got a new laptop at work which should help and my friend has been to the London flat today so will be interesting so see if everything is still there and get the post.

Not a lot else to report take care all stay safe.

  • Good opportunity there for you if it goes as expected.  Do you know anyone in that team to find out if anyone will be applying?  When will they be advertising the managers post?  And then 2 months after that to fill the vacancy, so Feb/March?  Fingers crossed.

Love the decks - especially the alcohol selection!
