Been so productive today. Got my go registration done and emailed over. Filled in my voter registration form and done my car insurance. Saved £200 which was fab as it had gone up by £50 as well. Also done a click and collect order for Monday after gym.ExBIL is finally able to leave South Africa they arrive Friday and staying for two months. Went over today to make sure all as as tidy as can be and see if heating worked. I look forward to seeing them but not sure how dg will feel first time she'll be official with them. They will need to self isolate for two weeks but the second week we will be at bootcamp. I've been so good went to pump twice last week and bootcamp outdoors too. Dg still not into the swing of things but better with work.Had my haircut yesterday £40 and dentist disaster. Had a bit chip off a tooth that is crowned. Got it repaired and the next day it broken totally. Wish I had gone straight for a new crown going to be more money now wasted.I got my deposit back from guardian property £650 which was fab. We cannot remember is it was paid jointly or mine so stuck it in savings. Now up to £750 saving for the btl.Just making ryebread going to watch some trash telly but dg will be back shortly she had her hair coloured. Resisted a latte when out so savings there.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Ryebread was excellent with M&S breaded plaice and remoulade. So tired last night watched telly and went to bed. Dg stayed up later but we cancelled golf as it’s so wet no way would it be enjoyable. Most people pulled out so don’t feel too bad.Got started on the up cycling of the table in the pool bar. We have got wrapping paper for the top so trying that and if it works might do the dresser in the same paper. Just done another coat so when dg gets up we’re sanding the dresser just annoying it’s raining so we can’t do it outside. Here is a picture of it before we started.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Table up cycling went wrong glue did not work it crinkled up the paper so had to take it all off. Ordered new glue and more wrapping paper annoying but should have tried it first before doing a big piece. Never mind love and learn.Spent £64 on tickets in December to the Watercressline they are doing an illumination trip so thought we would book and have something to look forward to.Back to the dentist on Monday after the repair shattered. Need to have a new crown cost £800. Really not amused they are giving me money off as the repair didn't work so that is something.Dg is back to feeling crap about her work again. She's also come to the conclusion she is feeling depressed which I agree with. I think she's got anxiety which is why she react so strongly when her work is tricky or challenges her. My work is boring but plodding along. Really not sure what I want to do after March. My friend who used to live next door is staying the weekend we are back from bootcamp will be so nice to see her and have visitors something nice to look forward to.Of other money news had forgotten I have an £800 credit on DGs Amex so that will come in handy for the tooth repair.Really feels like a long week this one bootcamp tonight after work went to pump yesterday and planning to go again Weds. really not long until Bootcamp starts at least its a week off work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Shame about the table, but it can be fixed. Sorry to hear that DG is depressed, but at least there is acknowledgement. You can work with her if there is admittance. And again, sorry that work is not as much fun as you had initially hoped and that you are now unclear as to what the next phase of your working life will be. I have my fingers crossed for you whatever you choose to go for. You have a wealth of experience and transferable knowledge that will make you an an absolute diamond find for whoever employs you! What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Thanks you Tahlullah as always really wise words from you much appreciated. DG is up and down but as you said she knows what it is. Bootcamp should be good as she needs to loose weight it's really getting her down and last time she really got back into exercise which is what she needs. Also to actually leave the house.New glue has arrived so table can be tried again I am sure it will be fine old stuff came off quite easily.Job wise I do have news. The person who has been seconded into my team and was working at a higher grade obviously got the job and I am so pleased I never went for it. I did look at job within my organisation and lo and behold a job I had looked at back in money advise had come back up. There was two posts so I though maybe they did not fill on. However speaking to the manager who I happen to know from way back told me they did not get enough high quality candidates so did not recruit. They have now advertised it outside our own public website and taken the requirement of experience of money advice work. Now it just says advice work, now obviously I could kick myself for not applying as I'm in effect internal but had the right experience. I know I did not go for it as it was only March 21 same time as my own job but now it's with a possible and very secure possible extension to Nov 21 which fab. Job does sound right up my street grant management and lots of contact with local offices which is what I enjoy. I will also have a deputy to help with the day to day stuff so back to being a manager. Closing date is Sunday but my old application can copy over so do not need to do all the cv bits again.Shopped for BIL and sil yesterday so it's all ready at the house for when they arrive today to start self isolating for two weeks. Right off to have a shower then workSave £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks to both of you really appreciate it. Not sure about travels up north it's a diverse team spread across the county so I'm guessing it will be London. Got two competencies to do and sorted the final desirable one out my biggest issue is the 200 word limit that is so hard.Had a really nice night last night on a video call from 3 hours with two ladies dg worked with and I volunteered with. Really nice but do miss seeing them in real life.Bil arrived safely and is self isolating. I'll go and see them later once I've done a bit more work on my application. Golf tomorrow for most of the day so some house stuff to do today. Need to order some indoor trainers as using my current ones outdoors and my old ones are shot to pieces so no good really.Had the pool closed down yesterday so sad but been fun having it all summer long.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Application done. Golf played enjoyed but did not play well not that I mind. Saw BIL and sil it was nice but all a bit strange. I went on my own dg is still a bit nervous about seeing them now they know about us. It will be fine but they are self isolating so shouldn't really see people. Will try and go back before Friday when we're off to bootcamp. Last night we managed to finish up cycling the table we got from w fellow guardian in London. Hope you like it is done with wrapping paper, special glue, and chalk paint plus varnish I think less than £30Save £12k in 25 No 49
