Thanks for the comments means a lot I'm really excited about getting the rugs over especially as my mum is packing the middle with Danish sweets.Dg has a 1970's orange glass table lamp we are going to try and fit in the dinning room. With the white walls I think it will look fab and maybe with an orange shade like this.Still up in the air with the flat they have made noises again about dg lying for the whole flat but then sent her a new agreement. They are also advertising the flat for rent with a price that looks odd so really not sure. Still going up to take as much as we want so if she can keep it it will just be enough for overnight stays. 3 working days to go then a week off plus Bank Holiday cannot wait.Money wise not doing too badly spends on the house has stopped bifold doors arrives Thursday and then hopefully finally window ledges next week. Will need builder back to tidy up a few bits but should come in within my original budget. The driveway and front garden will cost £4500 to complete redo but it needs doing as we took part of the wall down and now drive over the grass a small bit. It can wait and I have savings that will cover it.No news on the mortgage obviously as has to wait until 6.9 but house is still for sale which is great.Save £12k in 25 No 49

The shade looks good. Is it the same shade of orange or are you going for a mix match orange shade? What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Hoping to match it but I think it might be too low as the lamp is 45cm Tall but the Shade only 20cm. Here’s pictures of the new carpet on the hall and stairs.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Nice Mrs Money penny we are trying not to bring anymore grey into the house. Bought to table cloths via my mum yesterday mustard yellow and bright yellow/orange for the second one.Managed to hand up to pictures yesterday smallest bedroom now just need some hooks hanging up the previous owners left which are quite nice. My Danish Watercolours look fab in their new frames just need to be hung up.
Tonight we are off to the flat packing as much as we can before flatmate and friend turns up with a van tomorrow midday. Taking what we really want then leaving the rest so it can stay if dg stays or get dumped sold without having to come down here.Last day at work whole week off plus bank hols cannot wait.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Flat packing went really well (sounds like Ikea) we were home by 5pm on the Saturday and got a lot thrown out but still some here that needs unpacking and putting away namely clothes.Sunday was chill out and getting an Asda order for bulk cooking. Yesterday was spent shopping for bits
larger pots for bulk cooking as old ones were not ok for induction. Bought the organ right lampshade I sent pictures of but it does not work too low. Went to pump in the evening and both booked on bootcamp locally Tuesday evenings we can only do 5 of the 6 weeks but it's only £25 so a bargain anyway. Weather not fab today !!!!!! down so going to stay indoors get the unpacking done and bulk cook. Builder friend coming around for a nose and carpenter booked for a Tuesday next week as window ledges will be here this Thursday. Painter will finish up Wednesday next week then we are done with work.Got A lot of nice stuff planned this week. Tomorrow is lunch at a Chinese we have wanted to go to forever trying Eat out to help out for the first time. Also golfing with friends Friday they are then staying here overnight. Then on the Saturday or Sunday next door is coming over with some other neighbours (her brother and husband) they are all really nice so look forward to that. Then the following weekend once we are back at work DGs oldest friends are coming down too they have never been here so will be very good for dg.I think that's my update got tons of stuff I want to do but also need to chill out obviously.Save £12k in 25 No 49
