Thanks Tahlullah much appreciated just popped in to say dg insisted we paid for our next lot if Bootcamp classes yesterday so £25 gone and I’ll count today as a spend day as had already updated the journal. Now I’m tempted to spend that’s so bad. Work is dragging and I’ve got lots to do.

Hi Vandanfc thanks for popping in hope you're ok. I have so far really the £25 should be a regular expense but I didn't even put it on my budget so it can come out of my £200 a month allowance.

In other house news the front door will be fixed Friday and the roofer is busy but has responded. Plumber did not turn up so will chase it's not so urgent now it's not frosty. Bootcamp tonight. Got the adjusted bill for council tax for here forgot about the two free months so that's handy. Also we should get a credit from the London flat for council tax as it was paid over 10 months.

Realised by coffee shop refund is a credit to buy more coffee not really what I wanted but if they do another offer might stick in an order as it's still miles cheaper than going to the actual coffee shops.

Going to watch the doom and gloom news before bootcamp then salmon and bulgar for dinner.

NSD today I'll put photo of my page in here at the end.
Roofer has been good news it's just condensation which makes sense as we boarded the loft and there is a lot up there now. Also the new drying room extracts up there but the hose to the outside is broken (waiting for electrician to fit new one). It will need 4 vent tiles each side at £45 each plus two days labour. He can't do it until April which is fine as it's really not that bad. We can also save up for it.

Electrician will come over next week or so which is fab and I've chased plumber but it's not frosty now.
Chill evening tonight no exercise but have done Joe Wicks and three laps of the field by the house. We will hopefully go in the hot tub even if we need to change the water soon but have added a shock treatment which will help.
    Have a nice evening all

For now the surplus at the end of the month will be saved in a sundries pot for when I need extra expenditure not on the budget.

I love your NSD @TallGirl that is brilliant! You are doing great! I’m also recording NSD this month (electronically in my calendar with a big green tick or Red Cross!). I like visual.

Thanks caerler I’m really enjoying it can’t wait to fill in the page each day. I really lost my way with savings after I paid off my mortgage and now I feel renewed enthusiasm just need a new target or goal.

I need to make sure I’ve got enough cash if my contract isn’t renewed in March and allow around £10k for the front garden refurb. I’ve got £21k saved for these purposes but thinking of buying premium bonds and then setting myself the goal to max it to £50k. I’ve got various places for savings so would be nice to get it in one place. I do need easy access have have filled up my ISA so that’s not an option. For those who might no know I inherited my ex husbands pensions which are now invested in my Sipp an STocks and shares ISA and other funds not in the isa wrapper so my IFA moves this over each year filling up the S&S ISA.

I will make a decision on the Premium Bonds by the end of the month as you’re not in the draw for a month so worth getting them before the 1st. Before I bought this house I had the full allowance and I had also borrowed dgs allowance. I used to love checking if I’d won.

And another nsd really easy when you don't leave the house. I get paid around the 23rd of the month but I'm going to do the nsd calendar monthly as most of my bills go out around the first so can move surplus out and top up then too. I've got so many accounts and pots but I love a money shuffle at payday.

Plumber came today sadly shower had to come off as he could not get access to the pipes that will be 1/2 days labour but worth it as it is what it is need to be able to turn it off really. Nozzle for the bottom bit of the shower might be broken I'll try it as found more bits if not see if the supplier who was Chinese can send us another.
Front door is fixed thank goodness much easier to open and close now too let's hope it stays that way so fed up with all doors behaving badly. Drying room will be fitted out Monday then we just need more rails in there. As there is nothing to do at weekend perfect time for us to do the diy. Added more to the to do list but more take off too. It works so well this central list and then when the month is over I can move the unfinished ones forward to February. Also making use of the main calendar to add notes and reminder like when contact plumber to refit shower in March.

I've done a NSD today too!  You are right, going nowhere helps although I have to resist online ordering!  I also love a pay day shuffle!  @TallGirl
