Thanks Tahlullah I hope I'm successful this time although I really like the people I work with.

NSD as the queue for a coffee were silly after our walk. Was lovely to see friend in person nice to chat and be out in the glorious sunshine. Also got a bush trimmed and cut down an old comfier side garden is shaping up. Got a whole box of records done and dg sold another toy on EBay. Cooked Sicilian chicken from the spice kit yummy another for the favourite box but only two portions although large. Here is a picture.

Really stuff afterward had dinner in pool bar then watched rubbish telly and now bed as I'm so tired. Must be the fresh air.

Tomorrow more records after the get them from storage place. Also need to put the new brackets on the tv unit see if those works if not will need to go back to manufactures. No good the can't open properly.

Did drive out to a garden centre which said it was open however wasn't so went to B&Q instead saw some plants at least and bought a box to store the sandbags for the marquee behind the hottub.

Suppose to be freezing tomorrow so doubt I'll do any gardening bulbs are coming up in front garden which is lovely. Spring must be on its way it's getting lighter too.

Forgot to say my sewing magazine came today present from Dg. It's lovely and there is a beginners course which I had a look at. Need a small project to start with to get used to machine and remember how to sew been so long.

Did not sleep well feel so tired and unproductive. We've changed the brackets in the tv unit and it looks worse now so will need to get in touch with them. Hopefully a refund I'm hoping as it really does not work. Booked a design appointment with Made.com my fave shop to look for some dinning room chairs and possible a new unit for under the TV.  Will be expensive but would rather have something that actually works aka the doors open properly.

NSD only been out to the shortage unit to collect the last two boxes of records so should be all done this week. Will be great to get them all out of the house even if we do not sell the expensive ones we will only have two boxes stored a big difference.

Made some cinnamon rolls type things from a tin yummy very nice and dinner will be fajitas. Nearly lost our regular Asda slot but managed to get if for next week and sorted a slot for this week which is fab. Meal plan done and shopping list sorted. Could not get a tin haricot beans so it will be trying the Simply Cook pork chop the week after.

Spoken to my mum my uncle has had his two COVID jabs in Denmark but she's not had hers yet. Good news if all over 50 get theirs by May really hope I can go to Denmark in July.

Dg is better of sorts she's going to give it 6 months and see how it goes after the next appraisal. She's not got a lot of self confidence so that does not help. She's listing more stuff on eBay sold something yesterday for £35 so not bad going.

That's it roll on Monday and the joys of work.

Probably a bit late now, but if you've got baked beans you could just rinse the sauce off them and use in your recipe x

Thanks South Coast they are to make a baked bean type dish so will bear that in mind.

NSD today but close to not as I've seen some raised beds in B&Q I really like. Not sure if to get one or two sets depends how much I want to grow. Would work out under £200 with arches on one for net and plastic to extend the season. I could start small with just 1 but I really like them. I started a thread on the gardening page got loads of ideas so now busy thinking of that. https://www.diy.com/departments/verve-large-raised-bed-kit-0-96m/1889037_BQ.prd

Spoke to the manager recruiting for the job I liked she was in a rush I felt and she did not say much. She did reveal she wanted an internal candidate but got overruled plus they need them in by early March for an overlap.

Work dead quiet today so should really have done some work on application. Got course in the morning look forward to that.
night night all I'm so tired and not done any exercise today apart from a quick walk around the block literally.

Those raised beds look good! I've got my eye on some metal ones but they would be quite an investment and I'm not sure I'm quite ready.  I've got a gravelled area which I'd love to fill up with raised beds for veg and flowers.

Thanks Caeler they are cheap enough not to be a huge investment. Think I’ll just go with one set double height though.  Looked at a potato kit with bags going to buy that and some herbs later. Looks great and I need more herbs as my parsley has died it was well over two years old and had lived in London on the 5th floor for most of that time lol. Getting sage and lemon thyme should go in between the cracks of the rock.

Work is dragging on roll on 5pm.

So excited pressed the order button £128 in B&Q and £60 at Marshal forgot they are the only ones that do Nermaslug which I so need as it is rampant here with slugs.

Also order a rhubarb which I'll most likely plant on the other side of the fence to give myself a bit more garden.
My allowance for this month is now gone but I've got last months surplus so I shall do some shuffling as that is what it is for

    Bootcamp tonight then healthy dinner.

So tired a NSD too. Pool and hottub serviced £50 but worth it as we don’t have the expertise. Dg has agreed to a proper house and garden maintenance fund makes more sense and I won’t have to worry about paying it joint etc. It will be topped up until there’s sufficient money in it.

Did some of the job application should be ok to do similar to last one but more questions however more broken down so easier with the word limits.

    Night all

Just a quick update before I go to sleep. Not a nsd today as Graze subscription £3.99 restarted. I forgot to be honest will get this box then might cancel. Did get £10 refund in B&Q order as the did not have the plastic cover I ordered I do need so will have to go there plus I ordered the wrong size liner really annoyed but cannot be helped. Raised beds looks good once treated should be fab cannot wait to lay it all out and find the right place for them.

Also done the email for the tv unit where we got replacement brackets but they just do not work. Same problem as before so hoping they will refund us or give us a huge discount. We do like the unit but the doors are a struggle to close and open look ok at least but still. Got a virtual appointment with Made.com on Saturday really need some dinning room chairs but when you cannot try them it's impossible to know how they will fit with our table. It's free so we shall see.

Finally application form has 9 questions but 5 of them are identical  last one so minor tweaking is all that is needed. This job is almost more suitable for me than the last as it does not have any finance responsibility. I would like to learn that side but I do not have experience. I should get the final three questions done before Monday easily.

Dg treated herself to the Oculus virtual headset some of my colleagues have got it and you can meet up that would be fun for sure.  Her toys are selling well so why not treat herself I think some distraction might be good as long as she doesn't get addicted lol.

  • Yes, the questions will be similar.   As you know, the org has set recruitment protocol which includes example interview questions, so all recruitment follows the same template, with small variances.  Good luck with it.
