Is this one any better? The sign may look large but the actual terms and conditions text is small and no way readable from the car.1

I would suggest you use the traffic signs manual - parking prankster used to have this - to show that
- text msut be a certain size to be read from a car, dependent on the prevailing limit
- only a certain amount of text can be read from a car anyway
And demonstrate, using govt docs, that there is NO WAY to read that before entering3 -
That is better but @Snakes_Belly captured a better angle. Shift to the right a bit and point out that one sign is twisted way from view of cars turning right to enter the car park and there is some sort of hoarding on the right but it's the back of it. Therefore no terms were there to be seen from a driver's seat (and then show pics of inside and talk about...what...a lack of other signs?PRIVATE 'PCN'? all so ...How many words are on the sign ?A judge earlier this year made these comments"This signage contains a huge amount of wording, in varying fonts. There are
between 650 ta 700 words, by my rough count. it's well known that the average
reading speed of most adults is aground 200 to 250 words per minute. On the basis
however that this is reading a sign and there are many technical words, it would
probably take an average reader about 3 to 4 minutes to read everything on the
sign. The key part however is found be found some 140 words into the text. It is in the
middle of the sign and it says this, in capitals, then below it is a lower sized font
referring to the £100:" DJ HarveyRalph

I find it ridiculous that motorists are expected to read terms and conditions whilst they are driving even at a low speed. If you were using a mobile phone even at a low speed you would be fined.

Just as a matter of interest have Excel included details of their contract with the landowner? I wonder who owns this? They can't be making much from this car park and it's a prime site in the Lace Market.

I did a search on business rates for the postcode and the parking spaces all seem to be listed separately which suggests that they may be linked to a specific premises or flats that are rented.
I wonder if the land belongs to the guitar shop at
7 Woolpack Lane,
Lace Market
Nottingham NG1 1GA.
I bet that it is for the guitar shop's customers but open to the general public as the guitar shop is only open from 10.00 am until 16.00 pm weekdays. They don't open at weekends and the rest of the time is by appointment.
Anyway Excel are not listed as paying business rates so don't appear to own the land.

Coupon - You can't come from the other end of the road as it's not a through road, just checked. Leads to a block of flats. Probably the reason why the sign is in that direction. I'll stick with the current image. But the sign says that terms and conditions are on the sign inside the car park by the meter. It also says by entering the car park you are subject to and agree in full to terms and conditions. How can that be when you don't know what they are before you enter. Is this a joke?!This is the old location of the sign. Same sign that is angled towards the road. Looks like they changed its location.Landowner contract1

You can't come from the other end of the road as it's not a through road, just checked. You could, drive to the flats and turn round when realising their spaces are signed for residents only, then drive into these spaces instead due to no conspicuous signage.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
