I opened a Spend and Save account via Quidco but I want to open another current account with TSB (not a Spend and Save one). Do I need to wait for the cashback to payout before I can do this, as they could say I had another current account when I applied for the Spend and Save account, and refuse the cashback?

    Thanks

I wouldn't close the account before you've had a payout as it's likely to be declined.

You can't get cashback if at the point of application you have another account.

I didn't have any current accounts at the point of application. I do not want to close the Spend and Save one, I just want to open a second current account, but I'm not sure if this will affect the cashback from QC for the Spend and Save one.

According to the terms, you will not be eligible for cashback as you already hold an account.

You will be eligible for the Quidco cashback if you open a new TSB Spend & Save current account, you don’t have any other existing TSB current accounts

Whether you will actually get cashback or not, I dunno, but given how willingly cashback seems to be declined I wouldn't bother trying to be honest.

EDIT - sorry reread and you're saying you want to get another account but not get cashback for that one. Should be fine I'd have thought, shouldn't jeopardise cashback for the 1st one.

To be on the safe side, I wouldn't open another TSB account before I have seen the cashback from Quidco. There are plenty of banks where you can open another account; any particular reason why it has to be TSB?
  • Has anyone received any cashback recently? I (opened 5/12) and my sister (opened 05/01) had updates on 22nd July so assuming it's been agreed, but just not paid yet and is now coming up to 9 months for me. My mum, dad and brother-in-law who all opened theirs 15th and 18th December have had no movement.

    Have they tried Senokot?

I opened mine in May and haven't had the cashback yet, however on Quidco it says "estimated payment December" or something along those lines.
  • I opened another TSB account back in Feb to take advantage of a flash Quidco deal for £80 which finally paid out yesterday after being estimated to track at the start of Sept. I had an existing TSB account at the time I applied but somehow still managed to slip through the cracks -shrugs- Being switched away to Ulster bank as of this morning :)
  • My sister's (opened Jan) and my cashback (opened Dec) were both paid back in September. My husband's was paid today which was opened in April. My dad's that was opened in Dec was confirmed today, however Quidco had paid it in Sept as a gesture of goodwill (his bonuses from Nov seasonal boost was paid).

My mum's which was opened the same day as my dad's and brother-in-law who's was opened a couple of days after have both been declined, however both have had their seasonal boosts paid in September which was connected to these transactions.

Has anyone else had theirs declined? Also they are trying to submit a declined claim but it is asking for a purchase amount, they have submitted a support ticket (not answered yet) but does anyone know how to get past this as they have tried £0 but system doesn't like.
