This seems to be progressing now with another status update today. Those that had cashback confirmed in mid-April seemed to have status updates on 6th March and 6th April so fingers crossed this becomes payable soon.
Updates on 15th May and 10th June now.

    Me Too! Fingers crossed
All's well that ends well  :* ... This day was a long time coming.

£500 in and out qualified in the end. Thanks to This Is Money and George Nixon for their intervention.
Can I ask what did you do to satisfy the two debit transactions each month? It seems unclear whether transfers between accounts will now qualify, though I realise I am bound by the previous T&Cs.
Just paid £250 in twice each calendar month for 5 months including account opening month then switched out account, as I didn't think any debit transactions were needed (just said make 2 transactions per month, pay in £500). A family member just paid in £500 in and out between 2 TSB current accounts (both opened through Quidco) and these have now paid out too.

How many debit transactions did you do and over what time period?
I did 4 a month and transferred £250 into the bank account 4x and then back out in 2x £500. I covered this over 5 months.
Did you do this in the rest of the first month of account opening?

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/saving/article-8399617/TSB-revamps-50-sign-bonuss-terms-called-unclear.html

"This is Money has asked TSB whether the new terms apply only to accounts opened after they were clarified on 8 June, or also apply to accounts opened under the old rules.

It said any accounts open now will be judged on the new terms"

Maybe it's just me but I think they could have worded the answer a bit more clearly. I think it means, any account that is already open, even if it was opened under the old rules. If so, I think that's really unfair.

    Thanks.
They forgot … Thanks to all users of the mse forum for helping us to draft these terms and conditions (only took us six months) in a way that customers can actually understand.

Fame at last! Name checked and this post quoted in full  in the Daily Mail article linked in above post.

As per usual tsb manage to confuse the issue.

Its true that multiple Classic Plus accounts opened are and for several years have been limited to one sole one joint under tsb own bank t&c and certainly since this Quidco tsb offer started last year. Therefore those accounts would be limited to one, or two £50 cashback.

Now tsb and DM if you are reading this.
There was no limit on opening Classic accounts before June 1st when the option to open this account was withdrawn. Therefore all Classic accounts that meet the conditions over four months will qualify for £50 cashback because they are not Classic Plus accounts and tsb can’t renege on the offer made to Classic account openers.

Various tsb employees I spoke to in the past weeks acted as though it was not allowed to open several Classic accounts but it was, there was nothing to prevent this. In return for a cash bribe tsb get their account opening numbers up when the stats are produced. They can’t have it both ways even if in a perfect world they would like lots of new individual customers for each and every account opened.

They can achieve this with the one Classic Plus condition now but that doesn’t mean they can pretend the Classic accounts weren’t opened.

So tsb if you want to sleepwalk into yet another media drubbing honour the Classic account cashback for accounts opened in good faith up to June 1st 2020.

Its true that multiple Classic Plus accounts opened are and always were limited to one sole one joint under tsb own bank t&c.
Not always - that stipulation was introduced in January 2017: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5540017/tsb-classic-plus-rate-limit-changing/p1

I opened TSB account a few days ago. On the site it says £50 cashback. It's now tracking at £65.   :)
    Wonder what I'll actually get.
