That seems more of a summary of this thread then a news story lol
    Yes, but quite Educational

Especially this bit :)   "to ensure customers are able to make the most of the offer we will be making changes to our terms and conditions to remove any ambiguity"
Think I will take a screen grab of the current ‘ambiguous‘ t&c in case they try to apply the revised ones to the old offer because it could be that the revised ones mean one no longer qualifies.

Really why don’t they just pay out what difference does it make if you miss a payment In or don’t make two transactions per calendar? month. We’re not performing seals.

Best comment in the article, seems like a lot of grief for £50.

Yes but tsb supplied the grief, and an underwhelming customer experience.

    Which is still ongoing.

I’ve just received paper statements for a couple of accounts because it took tsb five weeks  after repeated requests to merge my accounts, without online access for the new accounts so not able to opt for paperless until five weeks gone. So as I didn’t/couldn’t, opt for paperless at account opening could tsb have made me not qualify? And so it goes, on and on.

As this wasn’t ever specified and isn’t true we need to watch out for them introducing this condition retrospectively and applying it to our existing cashback.

Think it might get worse before it gets better!

I also meant, at least one of those accounts it no longer open to newcomers! (TSB Classic)

When the mail article was published the Classic account was still offered on the Quidco site. IIRC it was pulled on the same day and is no longer an account tsb offers to anyone as it also disappeared from their website.

All my November and December accounts paid out  in spite of all the problems.

The word 'newcomer' was never mentioned in the offer terms. Typical shoddy Daily Mail journalism.

The Quidco offer terms say last updated 1st May so in spite of the DM article last week looks like no hurry to amend the ambiguous drafting. Except it only includes Classic Plus account now so HAS been amended since last week. Just pulled the Classic and Student offer instead and left the Classic Plus which is limited to one sole account, and one joint so takes care of their real problem, people opening more than one current account which was not forbidden even though they try and lay that falsehood on us.

I opened several accounts and the account numbers in sequence showed lowish take up day to day.

tsb seem to want their cake and eat it, let folks open several accounts for a £50 bribe then complain they don’t use them as main accounts or hold more than one account.

    Thanks, 2 interesting T&Cs
DD, SO and Faster payments are considered as Debit payments.
No point in opening multiple classic plus accout. Glad I opened only 1 classic and 1 classic plus
