    Hi,
I have now received a letter before claim from CST LAW for the PCN and they have given me 30 days to reply, before commending court proceedings. Any advise on how to reply would be appreciated.
Pop yourself onto the NEWBIE sticky and you will find the advice on how to deal with a LOC.  Also, as it is CST law, you could find the CST law thread and read what all the other posters are doing.
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6166004/cst-letters-forum-group-thread/p1
BUT since this is not your thread, you would be advised, after reading the STICKY and the CST Law thread, to start your own thread as you were advised to do some time back.  Check this reply here 23 September 2020 at 9:01AM

@Le_Kirk, I directed the poster to post here from a hijacked thread earlier today as his case is a UKCPS/Piccadilly one and I think we were trying to keep them all on this 'group' thread unless/until a court claim was received.  I think that's still the advice?  CST poking their nose in does confuse things a bit given the CST 'group' thread. Anal disappearance!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

OK, apologies @Umkomaas and @chijiokeike,didn't know we had a Piccadilly group thread (I do now) and, as you say, CST Law sticking their Law (oar) in didn't help.

Yes I think the OP stays here (reads it ALL) and also reads the other Group thread, the CST Law one, and calms down, gets a SAR of they need to see the letters, if they threw them away.

And that's all they should do at this stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Another case from Gateway House Picadilly here - my motorbike was having mechanical issues and I couldn't get it started for a few minutes. Was sat on my bike the whole time trying to figure out what to do. Debt Recovery Plus said it looks like I was just sat on the bike texting, and asked why I didn't supply evidence of the breakdown in my appeal to UKCPS.

The signs at this location state no stopping on the road, however I was technically not on the road - I was in a kind of lay-by section which was clearly marked with a solid white line. I purposely chose this spot so I wasn't causing an obstruction.

They conveniently left out the photos of me rolling the bike away, down the hill, trying to jump start it.

Are there any updates on previous LBAs for this particular area?

I know the advice is to never contact the debt collectors, but I've already made that mistake. Why shouldn't we contact them?

    Why shouldn't we contact them?
Because they are rude, dismissive, undermining, foul-mouthed .... and they will chew you up and spit you out. There is absolutely nothing they are interested in other than your money. It will be the first time for most to speak to a debt collector (few go back for second helpings), for the debt collector this is their day job. It's like someone who has no idea about the job you do, trying to argue with you about the way you do it!

But, if you have masochistic tendencies, go ahead and let us know how you get on ..... "

  • @chijiokeike Similar stage as you. I have received LBC and reply forms from CST Law a couple of days ago. Ready to go back and read the Newbie Sticky. Then move to the CST Law thread and read more. Then stick to the plan and huge knowledge of the people on this forum!
  • I’ve also received a Letter Before Claim from CST Law. I’ve read the Newbies thread and the CST Law ones. I’ve sent a SAR to UKCPS with a picture of my V5C (with everything other than my name, address and reg number redacted) but had to post it as they don’t seem to have any email addresses to contact them via.  I’ve emailed CST Law to say that I’m seeking debt advice and that I’ve sent the SAR. Should I start my own thread once I receive the court claim?
