Everyone here says 'keep complaining', but the DVLA and IAS are not interested, I've tried.
Some doors take a lot of pushing to get them to open. If there's no pushing, there's no opening.

Some years ago the DVLA tried to overcharge me £14.  It took me over nine months of constant letters to  get a refund.   It  must have costs them £££s to deny me that refund, but I got it.

CAB is often staffed by well meaning but poorly educated do gooders.   My dxperience has been that they are poorly trained in issues surroungin SOGA and CRE.  I volunteered one but reused to go on their diversity course.

I'll nearly at the court stage after receiving a fine for no stopping at Southend Airport.
In the process of filling in my defense but what exactly is it?

You haven't got a court claim if you are 'nearly at court stage' and this is not a thread about VCS claims.  This is ONLY about UKCPS at Manchester Picadilly.

You need to simply search the forum for Southend Airport defence - easy peasy.

Copy one and show us in your OWN new thread please.  Not here.

  • I've just received the latest punt at intimidation from Debt recovery plus acting on behalf of UKCPS. This one purports to be a Notice of intended court action. It's my last chance to pay up apparently.
Theres threats relating to court costs and also a reminder about the Supreme court ruling of 2015, where the court ruled that the parking charge was lawful. Funny, I've just checked the previous letter they sent and there was no mention of this groundbreaking caselaw.
I intend to file this under ignore and wait for something official. Thoughts please?

You seem to have got the hang of this.  Good stuff, just ignore, but keep hold of any paperwork (parking scam related, or any other) that suggests you owe a third party any money. Stay solid.

It was groundbreaking case law and they are correct - you have read ParkingEye v Beavis and understand how your case is different, we hope?
