MF I think as you are very mature and money savvy you are ahead of most people. They will realise what a godsend it is in their own time. I hope your foot is not agony too. I am waiting for storms tomorrow or at least rain. We shall see.

Thank you @savingwannabe it's hard to sit and watch. My foot is very painful and none of my meds help, I'm rattling taking them 😂

Had a wonderful day, started with a lie in and then a long shower, before heading out to sit by a beach, where we had Chinese noodles. I took loads of photos.

What was good about today is knowing I still can't walk that far. Will keep pottering around 😊
My foot is still the same. Will need to see how many pumps / flats I have and try to find something flat ready for winter

Popping out to water the garden in a bit, before the fog / mist gets any closer. Great photos of it from the flat 😁

Moved £3 to savings. £20 in the bank, 9 days til payday.

Had Chinese dumplings for tea and a choc ice.

Had French Fancies after watering the garden.

I've not had much luck with them SYA, they changed the shoes I used to buy and I stopped going to them after that. What I don't understand is why a lot of the boots / shoes have next to no grip on them.   I will sort something out and have a few months, will possibly try and get a Dr M style; this part does get guaranteed snow in winter 🙈 due to slip / fall risks but 😁 for photo opportunities!

Noticed I've caught the sun again, fantastic shade of red 😂

Watching a Bond film and have a few pretend shandy's lined up.

It sounds like you had a great day at the beach, and lovely food. Stay pottering and don't over do it as your garden needs you!!!. It is so hard finding nice shoes I barely wear posh shoes now just for essential occasions. I just wear trainers and I order them from ebay as its cheaper for new ones. If there is a brand you like can you see if anyone is selling your size as lots of people have brand new shoes for sale that were unwanted presents.

Thank you SW and SH, The beach was just what I needed! Been comparing tans with OH and whenever we go for a drive we play I spy, guess how many cyclists we will see and other funny things.

I have to try footwear on before buying but will get something sorted out. I can wear whatever footwear I want at work because of the foot issue, but usually wear pumps or trainers. Will keep an eye on JD and TK before committing to DM style as it's nice to have a bit of 'girlie' or 'femine' with my outfits.

Can't realistically do anything about pain levels, but trying my best to stay positive as I've a home, garden and my OH looks after me, even if he insists I get an all terrain scooter to get around 😂

    My no-booze shandy is nice!

CC statement released today. 8&Q is 67% paid off and the fridge is 17% paid off. Quite like how they produce the statements for these little plans.

OH came home with more tubs for me, can get a few things potted up the weekend.
Will also be doing the lounge units now I've got the sanding pad for the electric sander, can then swap the handles for the chrome ones I have. In theory the room will look bigger as the units won't stand out like they do now.
Could so with buying some ladders so I can easily paint all the rooms to freshen the white up.

Don't think I said, but OH is planning loads of projects; built-in wardrobes, floor to ceiling bookcase, tweaks to a kitchen cupboard to put the fridge in it, making the garden furniture and lounge sofas, plus putting shelves in various places. All of these will keep him busy for a few years plus he is still doing the growing garden etc.

Between the garden, home, photography, bit of exploring and surveys, I've got enough to keep me occupied 😁

    Moved a bit to savings.

£16 in the bank, 7 days til payday.

Steak for tea, followed by yoghurt.
