Thank you DIA
Got up today and my hair was exactly as I would have shuggled it about to look! Quick brush/ shuggle and it was done again 🤭
I've messaged one agent about premises, the very local one isn't viable.
Searched through posts of my "posh" facial group to see what they use for pedi's and someone posted the bowl I'm after, where they got it from and cost. The shop is still going and it hadn't gone up much (now £32.50). Needless to say I had a good look around and added other delightful items to my basket.
- I've a 'spa' vision I'm working towards.
Ordered from "posh" facial co, for basic and luxury pedi's, as they're great for other parts of the body. Also discovered some use the 'packing peatnuts' as toe separators, they're made of corn starch, as I've bagged all mine I now have a use for them 😄
- the co shred delivery boxes, use that as packing materials and hubs adds it to the compost. The outer boxes are used on the gardens to suppress weeds.
Planted a couple of courgettes and it's been raining everywhere since. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow as there's more to go out here and at 2nd home.
Tomorrow, depending on weather:
- Plan A is 2nd home, chiro, wax underarm and b-line; still gathering photos to pass hot wax course.
- Plan B is organise my beauty stuff and pack it away, chiro, colour my hair, wax underarm and b-line, run out during a dry spell to plant out, transplant toms / aubergines into bigger pots and gather all business receipts into a folder.
Phew, I've had my feet up for a while as I've done a bit of organising this afternoon.

Thank you SH
The swap was more about both of us getting things without money passing hands.
Had a delightful day at 2nd home, potted up okra, cucamelon, aubergine and some toms in the GH and a courgette in the ground. Bit of weeding too. I did have an early break for chiro appointment and popped to A1D1 after for compost, lunch and got the last two bean pots. Was out the house for 8h!
- had a catch up with 2nd home friend and a gossip with massage mate.
Ordered 400 petals and 20 floating candles (£13.55) for the luxury pedi. My vision for that is complete, or will be when everything arrives.
Had my shower earlier and have sat with my feet up since as I over did it, but I'm smiling and content.
Needless to say Plan B will be spaced over this week, including potting up chilli's and toms ready for next Monday and planting out the last courgette into the garden.

A few pages ago I mentioned premises with a long room I liked, and a couple of days ago said about messaging an agent. Well, today I viewed several of the rooms and stretched my budget a bit to secure my backup choice room; has space, light and air. Just needs flooring, heating and skirting fitted and within a month I'll pay rent, get keys, move in and stamp my mark on it 😀
- I've already decided upto 24h a week, with one evening for a couple of appointments as my initial hours.
Repairing clause is put it back to how it was if I leave, repair any damage caused my me, which is standard and reasonable.
I'm going into this with the expectation of starting from scratch again. If any clients follow me I'd be happy as most of mine are from that new area.
I'll be popping to 1K3A for a few bits of furniture, eg a large bookcase for retail items, nice chair for the pedi's etc; it's loads cheaper than beauty furnishings. Found a few shops with quality / good price elec / hydrolic beds too.
My posh copper pedi and mani bowls and other bits arrived today, packed safely away ready to go to the new location. I'll do the same with my "posh" products when they arrive tomorrow.

Thank you Skinty, FP, DIA and welcome LTL (instructor?)
Paid my first month rent this morning and have 2 months to save / earn / raise Aug rent. My savings have taken a hit this week, but so worth it 😀
I'll admit it's a bit scary, however, it's best I start over sooner instead of continuing to build up clients and then have to start from zero again, or worse walk out with nowhere to go.
I won't be saying anything to Beastie until the new keys are in my hand. I filtered more of my products out today; stops her using all my stuff!
I've been window shopping and picked out:
- massage bed with shelf so I can tuck bedding etc under it;
- mobile nail station so I move round the seated client and they relax;
- face steamer
= All for £400+vat and from the same place. Although I can buy some alternatives cheaper in the current sales which would bring this down to £355 all in.
In 1K3A I've picked:
- clock;
- display unit and boxes for retail and spares;
- mirror;
- bins;
- coat rack, annoys me when places don't have space to hang my stuff
= All for £129.50
Need to select 1K3A picture frames (for brand poster ads), kettle from T and I'd like a screen to allow clients privacy when getting ready for massages.
I've got a chair here (home) I can take for the client to sit on for nails and pedi's, plus the bits I put in my current space.
3rd home will be fully set up, with three sections for under £800 😯
