    Thanks Skinty and DIA

The product I've got for the salon is almost painless removal, when applied as directed which was pretty much the same way I was trained. Do it Besties way and it will hurt, not good for us A-zon rainforests!

Felt I' almost mastered my weakness, gained a bit of confidence and got ripped apart when going; I'm clinging to a smidge of confidence and tempted to take that kit home. She also used my room for 90 mins, spoke about me negatively to clients and other things.

I've sat silently, contei, since getting home and held in tears for the first few hours. Somehow I managed to sow my aubergine seeds.

TomBo made a gorgeous meal, what I can only describe as a warm salad. Giant couscous, leftover chicken, little sweetcorn, onion, celery, toms and other veg.

I'll do my waxing tomorrow, potter in the garden, some training.

hi MF your bestie is sounding a bit like a nightmare. It seems like she doesnt like the fact that you are doing so well or that you could possible know a better way than her. Jealousy is a nasty thing!
Talking negatively about you in her salon is surely counter intuitive??
Keep looking out for another salon, It hard enough to build your confidence up with a new skills. Don't let her get you down, much harder said than done I know, but you've already proved to be a quick learner and skillful in your work as proven by the return bookings and word of mouth bookings. Keep going x

    Thank you FP

It must be jealousy due to quickly establishing. I had so many concerns but thought it would be easier having a base rather than being mobile due to my health. She's not my boss and seems to forget that, and loads of other things.

I'm not able to set up from home, believe me I've spent hours trying to make that work. I am looking to do some visits. The immediate "problem" I face is how not to rip her a new one and pack up 😶
    - it's also a clash of objectives, hers is money and back to back, mine's client focused, comfort, service and safely.

I've calculated the annual rent, looked at getting my own place and building clients again.
A serviced office is £150pm+ with utilities and 'net incl, depending on which surrounding area I opted for, and there's a bit more space. I'd need to look into it as I have the deposit money.
Even a serviced office in Ed is cheaper than what I'm paying.
A building 2 mins away from home is up for rent and change of use is permitted by the council. It's big enough to share or really create my dream, but I'd be paying utilities; ratable value is low enough for me to get 100% discount on business CT.

I'll keep looking and see if the right place appears.

I've been gardening most of the day, got all the salad seeds in, did some weeding and watered.

TomBo made a delicious pea, bean and veg soup, it was cooked in homemade chicken broth.

    £150 a month sounds amazing.

Hope you find a solution soon. You don't deserve to be treated like that.

    Thank you Skinty and SH

I'm looking into serviced and semi-serviced offices as they seem the way to go, unless a small shop pops up.
    - I am tempted by the larger shop across the road and if it was the same or just a little more than I pay now I would have enquired, although I suppose there's nothing stopping me from monitoring and putting a note of interest in for a lower price as shops do remain vacant for a very long time 🤔

I've a 3h booking this week and won't make NMW. She asked how much I'm charging for it, said it's not enough and walked off when I reminded her one was on the special offer she told me to run.
    - I appreciate I am new and my prices also took that into account, anyone remember the pricing saga I went through?, but I'm still trained and qualified.
    - I'm so grateful the 'big' treatments, and some specialised ones are only done by me 😀

The more I vent, the more I'm talking myself into starting over 😎

Excellent idea! Salon bestie has turned into salon beastie. You shouldn’t have to answer to anyone. In my opinion she’s only going to get worse if you stay

In other news, I've treated myself to a few summer clothes, cropped jumpsuits (for out and about) and the shorter jumpsuits (for gardening) and a pair of sandals 😊

I've opened up another pension, thank you FP for the nudge. I'll pay in 10% of my self-employed money, rejigging when starting over with an aim of getting it back up to 10%; more when I no-longer have a day job.
    - I am still paying into my V-guard pension and S&S ISA.

My 7% account is the bulk mortgage O/P. There's about £1100 difference when that matures and my annual 10% and it's about £152pm I can send over by the end of this year.

I have a small savings pot I'm building up to cover and training, equipment and my insurance.

Home insurance has been paid today, need to build that pot up as I've the MOT and car insurance for this year; free tax.

Hopefully the weather will stay bright and warm as I'd like to pop to 2nd home to water and do a little weeding at home later.

Is a garden office an option for a salon?
