Your Bestie doesn't sound very much of a bestie...hope you don't mind me saying. I have had negativity in my workplace (think I probably ranted a fair bit about it on my diary oops lol) and it really impacts on your mental health when it is over and over and over every single day you're there. I am glad to be out of my workplace my mental health feels lighter already, so I hope you get the same relief when you have that time back to yourself to do "you" stuff.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Skinty, you're right and I'll rename her 🤭
Sadly not DIA, unless I was able to buy a few of the gardens from neighbours.
DFWB321 not my actual bestie, just a nickname that stuck when I've mentioned her, now beastie 😀
Worst part is she knows all the stuff going on in my day job, yet is doing some and worse, herself.
Ideally I'd stick at this salon for a bit longer, just to have access to volunteers while I finish FBM, get hot stones and body scrub / wrap.
I've been sporadically been looking for premises, still like the idea of my very local one and it may have been viable had I not dropped time; long-term it could make a gorgeous holistic base.
There's a fairly local office with a long room, and would also make a good holistic base.
Others are on office parks, within 2 miles of home.
Just have to see what happens or if I see the right place!

Phew, I must've missed that bit but I was thinking...who needs enemies when you've friends like that
....
It sounds like a good idea to poach their business really to build up confidence and perhaps some reviews. Have you got an online page on SM or a website...you could ask clients quietly if they wouldn't mind leaving you a review before you leave.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Thanks DFW321
I've made a few good friends since getting my 2nd home, be nice to spend the day with them when I get my free time back later this month.
- popped to 2nd home after work and watered, did the garden watering when I returned.
I do have SM, most of my clients don't 🤭
I'm contemplating doing a Sh3ll-c course, boost my confidence and again have something only I offer 😆
- I have all the products and would never leave them at the salon for hygiene reasons 🤢
Finally passed my Def brows course and I've printed my certificate. I need to laminate and file with my others. Gathering case studies for hot wax, when I've enough I'll send them to my tutor for consideration.
My "posh" facial products arrived, it's great for my skin and I noticed a vast improvement with just one use with the samples; should last months.
Some summer clothes and a pair of sandals arrived today; colours which TomBo was pleased to see.
- I've purchased a few more items of clothing and wedge sandals.
I'm keeping an eye out for the right rental and will bring some of my things back home this week.
My feet are up and we're watching YT vids.

Picking up on your new friends from second home. The area where the bungalow is has an allotment very nearby. It always struck me as a good way to make friends

Thank you DIA
The true community spirit tends to appear at allotments, knowledge, seeds, excess plants and produce are shared. I'm looking forward to my coffee chats again, although it feels like ages away yet.
Had my massage, good chinwag and grumble. I am getting more movement and she started working on my hip area.
- She's pleased I'm looking for my own place, thinks a serviced office is the way to go too.
I've given a lot of thought to having a proper space and could set it up perfectly for everything I want to offer. I'd have a massage table for facials, FBM, hot stones, waxing etc. A massage chair for IHM. I would also be able to freely cater for all.
It was 17° today, I've used one of my posh facial products, will use the other tomorrow and keep rotating between them each day. Once a week I'll use the exfoliant, if necessary; even now my skin still feels fresh and not dry. I was wearing a cropped, wide leg jumpsuit with my long cardigan.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Seedlings are popping up, okra, courgette, cucumber. Outside peas and sweetcorn. Fruit trees have baby fruits, bushes and plants have their flowers.
Buddy pulled beastie up about last week and the constant criticism etc. I had a 3h booking first thing, 2h of those my weakness, near beastie and I was dreading it, she popped over once with a totally different tone and approach to normal, second time was to see if I could take another booking straight after 😯
- I did run a few minutes late for my 2nd booking as I was sorting a return booking; 2nd was a return client and has booked her next appointment. Buddy hugged me saying I did really well and even beastie was surprised 🤭🤭
Popped to the butchers on the way home, got a chicken and some free pies as he wanted my opinion of them, another customer had complained. Pies were ace.
Got my feet up chilling out.

Thank you Skinty
I hope so and will see what happens. I have taken a big bag full of things home, not left myself short at the salon. Had one booking today, used some of the spare time to reorganise. Waxed an underarm the way I was taught, started on the other when beastie popped in and did it for me 😶 all off in one 🤢. One side is fine. One side has the strip outline, very uncomfortable to the point of hurting, hot and hot to the touch 😢
We're going north this morning, visiting MIL.
The courgettes are about 1.5in from the proporgater lid now and I'm looking forward to my growing day.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Glad your massage helped
Courgettes are my favourite
Enjoy the trip to see MiL
