Had a nice day, started with bacons and eggs as we would be out for hours. TomBo took us to Dund33.
We went to two Chinese supermarkets, picked up supplies and replaced the bowl he broke months ago spent under £34.
Then we went to an old style tea and coffee shop. TomBo seemed to buy one of everything, I got herbal tea, apple tea, chilli tea, and black forest gateau syrup for my coffees. I didn't pay.
Called into B0dy Sh0p, got shampoo and other toiletries, spent £32.50, after discounts and I had a voucher.
- They gave me a £6 voucher so I'll order more shampoo when I get paid.
Had a late light lunch we we got home and I immediately fell asleep after, woke myself up snoring and got sent to bed for a few hours.
We had chippy night when I got up and I've been sitting with my feet up watching TV. I'm feeling more refreshed.
I'll be studying all weekend and must get the pension forms filled in and posted off.

Crumbs you have been busy. I am hoping you will be able to rest a bit, it is chilly down here I reckon it must be much colder up North. I am hoping the new hours and job work out round your schedule and glad that one of the managers knows about your studying and hopefully they can find a role for you eventually after the exams or certainly write a lovely reference. Have a good day my dear.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

Thanks SW
I've been resting all day, had 3 bed naps and 2 chair naps, my migraine is starting to ease and I'm managing to watch a film with sunglasses on. I got TomBo to fit the T3ns machine on me and he said I've a rash or something, saying I'm allergic to wearing anything aside from my PJs got a laugh out of him and I'll try to check it myself tomorrow.
I'm not sure I'll be able to stick with these longer hours after they're done and may have to look at about 24h per week maximum when it's time to find a new role; my underlying contract is still there, I'll flip back to that when this stint ends and there's a spinal point increase in April.
- if I keep pushing it I'll be unable to do any work, staying PT I'll build up pension, savings, pay the flat off and grow food, all while slowly studying.
I put my order in with the B0dy Sh0p last night as the back Friday discount was better than the voucher. Extra shampoo, shower gel, perfume, body spray, lip balm, soap for me and some soap as Christmas gifts. I'll go to a local market in a couple of weeks for a few more presents.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Have you tried a soft elec blanket MF? - I wish I'd found it in my TOM days as it would have helped no end with targeted heat.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Skinty and SH
I've still got ringing in my head, but not as bad as it was and my head is just a dull ache, body hurts like heck though. I really must stop trying to be superwoman, accept I've limitations when it comes to work and it's impact on my private life.
I can't stand heat when I've a migraine, it's the quickest way to make me sick 🤢
I thought I'd make a start on gifts for TomBo's family as I don't think he has yet although he knows what he's getting them! I've sorted vouchers out for MIL, used survey points for those.
I've ordered a lightweight bridge camera for me, same brand as the rest of my gear so batteries and memory cards are interchangeable and it comes with a decent camera bag. Cost £51 🤭
- once I've got more free time I can clean all my other stuff, I've just not got the energy or agility to faff with it at the moment.
I've moved money over ready for the bills to come out, I never realised the date until I saw it on my laptop.
I have prepared 11 pages of revision notes, printed and added to my folder, my non-working days I can do more cross-referencing, condensing and printing; I'll copy, paste and tweak for speed. Main thing is I start learning it tomorrow 😀
Not sure what TomBo is cooking, but it smells nice and is in the pressure cooker.
I'm going to rest for the remainder of today, get myself as fit as I can for tomorrow; I'm definitely not reverting to FT or keeping these hours.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Managed a few nice photos this morning, light reflecting off the water with a bright orange sky, it lit the whole flat up for a while.
- My new camera has been posted, it will be good using a proper cam again.
The syrup is great, works well in my coffee and is very indulgent for winter. I'll find a vanilla one next year, in time for iced coffee season.
I was flying through my work this morning and then spent half a day dealing with one, finished late 😐
Had the invoice for my regulatory membership, I'll pay that next month, just over £200.
My cat's Christmas present has been refunded as it's lost, I'll try ordering another after the holiday / sales and will just have to pick kibble or something from a shop instead.
Had pork, rice and veg for tea tonight.

I am glad you ate well. So sorry that you had a migraine, I wonder if it is due to computer work? I hope it stays away. Please try to rest as much as possible. Well done on ordering Christmas presents.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

Probably a mix of all sorts causing the migraine, lack of sleep, the work kerfuffle and someone, rushing to get exam prep done, weather, sibling stress and whatever else comes my way.
I've been resting but will be knuckling down to revise tomorrow, I must also log my CPD and complete the pension forms.
We're having about 5h of daylight and it's getting shorter, temperatures are not great at the moment.
I reordered cat gift yesterday and it arrived this afternoon, it's so cute.
Yesterday and today I've been cleaning the shower room, hopefully I'll get the last of it finished tomorrow and then I can pick another room; I'm contemplating the lounge next!
We're having spaghetti with the leftover spicy butternut squash and veg soup as a sauce for tea. I've got my feet up.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I hope you are feeling better.
