  • Was at T before 9am doing the shopping, grabbed fruit, veg, soups, coffee and other things, spent £35.

Also took vouchers and got a stack of items for the food bank including some Christmas bits.

Got home, took a stroll to get my meds and popped in the butchers for weekend meat and other cupboard items, spent £38.

Grabbed everything from the car, somehow got it upstairs and unpacked before flopping on my chair, 30 minute rest before making a bacons and egg roll, with brown sauce, ate it while getting my laptop ready and I made a dent in my studies.

Two of TomBo's Christmas presents arrived, I treated myself to some kitchen equipment I've wanted for years and they arrived too. Still no sign of cat's gift so I'll be chasing the courier again tomorrow.

It's good having a weekday to get all the house things sorted out, instead of using valuable weekend time 😀

We had pork chops and home-grown boiled spuds for tea. Got my feet up and watching more of the series.

I've still got some chapters to go through, but I'll have them done this week. Instead of me saying I've 8 weeks to revise, I should confess to having over 250 hours available, which sounds a lot better.

Figured out an easier way of doing all of this for the remaining modules! Copy and past tutor classes, type some info from the book and tidy everything up. I'd probably have it done in about 2 weeks. Still, I know for the next lot 🤭

TomBo is cooking a lamb and veg soup-stew thing, cat is sulking on the sofa, I've just stopped studying and have flopped on my chair.

I'm on pineapple juice topped with lemonade. We've moved on to a Finland crime show this weekend and it's really good, had a cliffhanger last night, or should I say early hours this morning.

    Food sounds tasty as always.

Glad you are refining your study technique.

I'll have my notes finished and printed this week, that way I can sit on my chair to revise and cart the folder wherever I go.

Not sure I'll keep these extra hours as chronic fatigue doesn't mix with tedious work, or it could be the weather too as we're now into single digits. I'll never really know and can only compare to how much better I felt within me not that long ago. The money is so tempting though. Just need to figure out optimal hours and forget the money side.

TomBo has a long weekend and is taking me out for the day, asked him to drive as that one is too much. We'll be popping to a Chinese supermarket for supplies while out, dropping spare plants off and whatever else he has planned.

    Need another latte!

  • Good luck with whatever hours you choose. Enjoy your long weekend & I hope Tombo has some nice surprises planned 😁

I honestly don't know what to do. I'll have to see what happens and how I feel when I read the advert, when it pops up.
    - I could apply for the role, potentially it will be permanent and full-time but I may be able to negotiate the hours I'm doing now and I'd have more than enough money to pay for everything I want.
    - On the other hand I've got the PT hours to go back to, but it's temporary.

TomBo went into the garden earlier, when he came back a wave of ice cold air came in, I didn't warm up and decided the timer is going on; I'm toasting on my chair by the radiator 🤭

We had bacon and scrambled eggs for tea.

Glad you are using the heating at least some of the time. I think with conditions like yours it's important to prioritise warmth - however you achieve that.

  • I agree with SH. It comes to a point with medical conditions where you just have to be warm. Hope you enjoyed your bacons & eggs. 😁

  • Thanks SH and Skinty

I was doing ok with not having the heating on, even having windows open. I guess it was the right time and sitting down all day doesn't help.

I've sorted the timer out. There's 2x 15 minute bursts in the morning, 2x 15 and 2x 30 in the evening.

My holiday allowance has changed to account for the new hours. I'll be working half a day over Christmas and carrying some over to 2023; my exam time off will be a mix of holiday and shift swap.

There were leftover bacons, I had some with fried eggs lunchtime 🤭

I've only got 5 more classes to cross reference against my notes. I'll do some before we go out and when I get back tomorrow.

Got my feet up, watching TV.
