OMG, This sounds like a degree. Eat lots of cake. Have treats ok. I really do applaud you.

  • Thanks Skinty and SW

Sorry, thought I'd said that part when revealing I was studying!

It's equivalent to a bachelor's.  So yeah, degree level. Which is why it's intense, lots of work to do and a stack of knowledge to learn before the exam.

Extra kudos to me for doing a full-time degree while also working FT 🤭

Indeed. It will be worth it in the end.

At this level I pick what subjects I want to study. Although the ones I'm selecting are not easy, they're what I know, the previous learning is in my head and have worked in. I've done the two compulsory modules.

I did contemplate doing an hour of studies, but I don't want to overdo it and be unable to do a full day tomorrow. TomBo is in the office, therefore I won't get constant interruptions!

It's the anniversary of our second date and I've booked us in to a world cuisine buffet. I will be scoffing various things.

I've budgeted £100 and today's plans are deli, buffet, cinema, then feet up watching TV 🤭

    What a day 😀

Spent nearly my whole budget in the deli, had an unplanned trip to an arcade, the film was great on the big screen and lunch was fantastic!

TomBo had sushi, Chinese and puddings. I had Indian and puddings.

I honestly couldn't fault what I had; tarka daal, paneer tikka, paneer mattar and aloo something or other, had rice and a bit of naan.
    - Sounds like loads, but it was a buffet and didn't amount to a normal curry house curry portion.

For pudding I had a gulab juman, 2 teaspoons of apple crumble and custard, brownie, chocolate cake and fresh pineapple.
    - The only thing normal size item was the gulab juman, the rest was bite size. I'll leave the puddings next time as that's too much for my tummy.

I'll be looking up mattar recipes 😀

Very indulgent, ate things I shouldn't, now I'm sitting quietly with my feet up!

  • Still feeling the benefits of yesterday and giggling thinking of us playing arcade games, desperately trying to win me a dinosaur or Spiderman teddy, and doing the new version of the old 1p drop game. Didn't win anything but it was good seeing TomBo enjoy himself.

I did overdo the walking and standing, but hopefully it counteracted the curry 🤭

It was very dark when I got up at 7am. Sky has cleared and my study area is bright.

I've managed to order the latest edition of the book I'm working through, but for a fraction of the cost! Also ordered the latest edition of the book I can take into my exam, brand new and sealed, cost less than 50p more than if I would have gone to a certain bookshop for it; they'll arrive within a week. Saved £24.36 + p&p. Decided against the two other recommend reading books as people who've done this subject don't rate them and said they're hard to understand.
    - Actual cost, incl free postage, £23.58 🤗

When my new book arrives I'll continue working off that and tweak anything I've already typed up; it's the current chapter I'm doing that's had a change.

Today is a study day, TomBo has gone to work and I should get through a fair bit.  Better make a start 😀

  • It sounds like you had such a nice treat yesterday and managed to relax. You need it after all the stress of work and exams. The food sounded great. You are juggling your life well  :)

  • Thank you DIA

I've now got two chapters typed up. Potentially it's 45 pages I can read, digest and condense during a full study day, which is about 5 pages an hour. A few times I read something several times, mutter !!!!!! and walk to another room before returning, read it again and then understanding what they were going on about as it's a wall of text over a few pages 🤣

Did enjoy most of the chapter though and some of the info has stuck.

What I'll try and do on my working days is pick a smaller chapter and chip away at condensing that when I log off, save the bigger ones for weekends and annual leave days.

Hopefully I'll be revising by the end of this month as that would give me about 14 weeks to learn what I need to and do a few practice exams.

Got my feet up, we're having vegan spag bol for tea 😊
