    Thanks SH

My brief training was identical to yesterday only stroppy, pointing at things, huff's when I didn't immediately spot where things were. I was asked to do stuff as my boss was too busy talking with others and when it was my five minutes turn I was asked to show how I got the info; wasn't told to do that otherwise I would have written the steps down! Got huffed at over that too.

Got huffed at as I can't physically continually use the keyboard like most people can and adapt to make things easier for me. I even explained I'm in a lot of pain anyway, working off something small and will be taking in some of my own gear tomorrow; it's barely bigger than a tablet, plonked on a normal table and I'm sat on a meeting chair.

Shortly before finishing up I was quickly shown other systems and told I won't be using them much, or learning most of the job, as I'm not going to be with them long (nice, thanks, how to boost morale). A few minutes before I was due to leave a huge document was opened up, got huffed at as it didn't open on my system, and she started to read every word from it, stopping to explain things I had said on my first day I'd learnt in preparation for the interview.

Best part is I apologised in advance on my first day about my t3ns machine beeping when the 'cycle' ends etc and each time it did it today, I got huffed at.

There's so much more I could say, but you've all got the gist ☹️ I'm not seeing anything to change my opinion of my boss.

Needless to say, by the time I did eventually get out I was shaking in pain / lost a lot of feeling in my arm as nothing is set up for someone with physical disabilities. I thought my body was going to fold as I tried to walk to my car.

Had to stop myself from crying when I walked through the door this evening and I was ordered to sit down and put my feet up.

OMG what an awful day for you. 😢 Can you ask to speak to occ health? Not sure what to do about your boss’s disgusting attitude. Can you request a meeting and tell it like it is? If you are only there for 6 months ?

    Thanks SH and Skinty

Small saving grace is im only there for 3 months. I contemplated contacting OH, but don't see the point if my original report from them hasn't been followed; apparently it was going to confirm I'm disabled, state I know what adjustments are needed and to put what I ask for in place.

I have said a lot more to both bosses than I've posted up as neither are clued up or appear to have done the mandatory training on it. I've given specific examples eg doing 1 makes A worse, doing 2 caused this to happen with B and that's why you'll see me doing ?? as it puts less pressure on B. However, it goes in one ear and out the other with my boss.

Having 'slept' on it, I think my boss has already decided my contract won't get extended and it would take a massive shift for me to want to stay on her team. It should be a no brainer working for the LA as a disabled person, but it appears I've got a job in the wrong department / on the wrong team.

As always, I've stopped writing partway through and decided to email OH, asking for a copy of the report; it will also help my P1P application as I don't have any evidence to support it.

At least tomorrow I'm WaH and I'll be getting T2 finished by the end of this week, even if it half kills me doing it. I must focus on my studies as it's the only way I'll get my career back.

Thanks SH, unfortunately no support, nor will they send me the report!

Was told a specialist chair won't be ordered as I may not be around long enough to even use it. My boss had previously received the OH report, hasn't read it and admits she keeps forgetting I'm disabled, in pain, need breaks etc 😢 also hopes I do get the contract extended as I'm doing so well 🤨

Training was exactly the same as I've had all week, there's only so many times I can keep saying I know this, show me how to do the work so I can learn it!

TomBo greeted me with a hug, kiss and he made me a lentil curry. I smelt it when walking through the door and he served it with rice; I've a portion for lunch.

Unfortunately, he had to help me get changed as I've limited movement and my lower body is on fire, even to the touch.

I'm going to start / finish early tomorrow so I can do some of my coursework.

How does that fit with reasonable adjustments on the Eq Act? I'd talk to HR - having said that - I think they are usually a specialist order and could take a while to come.

They are breaking the law... They are also breaking DSE law.

I know SH, if they did get me one it wouldn't work with using a normal table.  If it was 'hidden disabilities', I'd understand someone 'forgetting' but it's very much out in the open; sometimes saying nothing is better.

I wouldn't even bother approaching HR as they can't even get the basics right.  It's no different to other companies I've worked at.

Just need to focus on my course and try to put my energy into that over the next few days.

Is there a union? Maybe a rep could step in and at least get some additional breaks set up & speak to the ignorant bosses ? Otherwise it sounds like it’s going to be a long painful 3 months 😢

    Thanks Skinty

I've not bothered joining as I'm not sticking around. I have been speaking with B2 about it all and today had a good talk, explained how it's affecting me and some of the comments; he's looking into alternative arrangements.

TomBo asked what I'd do if they extend my contract, I looked at him and fell against the doorframe. Said f that as my health is badly messed up because of them and I'm already counting the weeks down.

As to be expected last night was bad, kept screaming out in pain when I moved / attempted to turn. I did start / finish early but couldn't do any coursework; extra pressure to get it all done over the next two days.

I had chips and salad for tea.
