Thanks SH, Chrystal and Skinty
I'm always hard on myself, I do it so well due to constantly striving to be the best I can at what I do. It's why I've not settled into the non-career jobs as they're not tasking enough for me, there were no progression routes or like-minded people wanting to develop and therefore nothing for me to 'compete' against to improve myself further.
No psyching myself up today, just that passion and urge to achieve what I set out to be.
I rechecked to see if there was anything other than pass / fail eg merit, distinction, but there isn't.
I think I've been ill, due to bereavement, ongoing health, suddenly stopping work, a physical illness or just a combination of all of it, as I feel more 'me' than I have done in quite a while.
Kettle is on for a latte, laptop is on, I've got my old pillow on my desk chair and in a few minutes will be ready to tackle the other half; I'll deal with collating it afterwards.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
It’s surprising how things mount up and affect you, I found the same. You only realise how bad it’s been when you start to feel yourself again. Good luck with your course work today, you sound ready to tackle it0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Skinty and SW
We all have our limits and like you say, it's not until one or two things go away that we realise things were not right.
I've got 5 documents on the go as I flit through as many official websites to gather the information to get T2 done. Hopefully another couple of hours tomorrow and I'll have everything I need. Potentially, Sunday I can start filling in that silly bit of paper.
- I'm trying to do a big push to clear it this weekend.
Brain is so tired, as are my eyes. It's a lot of info I'm gathering, but I'm making my life easier to do T3 as a result.
New boss called me today, I'm focusing on my course and not thinking too much about the job, that can wait a few more days!
I've paid some more off the CC, got the balance down to £450.
Have to be careful with my spending as it's 4 weeks until I get paid. I don't know how long I'll be going into the office until I'm allowed to WaH, so I need to make sure I've enough for petrol.
This weekend we are going to drop some stuff off to the new friends. I need to dye my hair, brows, lashes, shave my legs and sort my outfit; I'll slot it round my studies.
We are having chippy night and probably s5 of the w1r3, I'm chilling with my feet up; my new arm chair is great 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Glad your new chair is still paying dividends.
You sound a bit happier about your studies.
You are doing really well financially.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The chair is great, it's taken pressure off my lower body when I'm sat down. I'll never be pain free but being comfortable helps.
My new pillows are good too and offer the right support.
Not sure I'll ever be 100% happy with this module, especially with an area I've not studied in 20 years. Provided I get a pass it's out the way and I'll be free to do subjects I do enjoy and have good knowledge of.
- I can make a start on the next module when this one is done, this will give me extra time to study, learn, do loads of mocks and prep for the exam in January.
I've had folder dividers arrive today, they're needed for my remaining modules. TomBo got me a ruler. I shouldn't need any more equipment or stationary while I finish all my studies.
I am saving a little bit of money each week. When I get paid I'll build up as much as I can as I want my next job to be a career one as I need a few years work experience to fully qualify; sadly my previous experience doesn't count as I've been out of it too long. I also need to keep saving up for my modules, even if I pay by CC first.
I'm occasionally thinking of interviews and what I'd say, however doing this entire course demonstrates I'm keen to step into it.
I do feel I'm on track with everything.
We're off to get petrol, a 4 pad t3ns machine, see the girls and deliver their stuff. When back home I'll crack on with T2.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Just build in some rest time before Monday too.
Glad you feel the course is worthwhile. Well done on still being able to save during this period. Impressive.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The entire course/ qualification will be worth the stress, experience and knowledge gained.
Had a great adventure today:
- Filled up the car; over £60, but I was nearly empty.
- Popped to Lyds chemist, but they didn't have the t3ns machine I wanted.
- Went to see the girls and had a good catch up, even discussed my thoughts about the new job, long-term plans and previous roles and was told to focus on my studies and follow my dreams, which was really nice to hear as we don't know each other that well yet; no doubt we'll end up nattering over t3ams when I start next week.
- Popped to an independent shop for pudding.
Got home, ordered a t3ns machine and spare pad things from 3bay; it's similar to what I was lent years ago and I'll be giving my current one and some new pads to aunt-in-law to try.
I've used today as my rest day and not done any coursework, I'll have to do it all day tomorrow and slot in doing my hair etc.
I had 'sausage' and homegrown boiled spuds with 'butter' for tea, TomBo had pasta with a spinach and coconut milk sauce.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I hope the T machine works for you. My relative used one and got relief from pain from it.
You are doing well with the coursework
