Thank you DIA, Skinty and SH
The t3ns machine helps distract me while it's switched on, could do with several more and have my whole body rigged up 🤭
New one should be here by Thursday, hope it arrives sooner as the one pad is on its last legs. They've not been sticky for years and TomBo has been using surgical tape to keep them in place, today the gel pad bit came away from the other part of the pad.
I've done several hours of coursework. Now I'm definitely just rounding up the last bit of information, then I'll be ready to fill in the silly paper. I've looked at what my tutor said about the last version and can see I should now be on the right track; I couldn't bring myself to look at it again properly as my confidence totally went, deciding to do things my way it started to return quickly.
Tomorrow's class is more of a turn up and do work, rather than learn anything. Which gives me a few hours to add to what I've done.
I have 8 days to get a full draft. With 3h in class, chipping away after work and the weekend, it's enough time to bring it together.
I'm not fussed about this role, there's no new job excitement. They really did kill that when messing the salary around ☹️ it probably doesn't help as I've focused heavily on my course and not given anything else much thought!
I haven't managed to get my pain properly under control, which is to be expected. Therefore, I will be walking in as a disabled person. I've not seen the OH report and who knows how my new boss has interpreted it (I've clearly spent a while typing and now thought a bit about the job, but not the actual work).
I've dyed my hair and brows, shaved my legs and had a shower; hands are not steady enough to do my lashes today, but they look ok. I may tidy my brows in the morning, depending on how long it takes me to get going.
It's been cooler again today, with some wind, but I've still been too warm. Rain has just started therefore the garden is fine; coming down heavy and the flat is dark (taken me a while to type, edit, tweak and go over parts I'd written).
We're having veg and rice for tea and finishing watching the w1r3; think we've another two series's left after this (I have posted up the wrong series number we're currently watching, but can't for the life of me think which one we are up to).Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thanks SH
First day has gone ok, still finding the boss abrasive, but thankfully the one above her is a total contrast. I've been given IT equipment and phone. The advert doesn't match the job and it's less involved than I was told at the interview; basically the half I was interested in, isn't part of my job 🤨
A full tank of petrol will cover about 12 round trips to the office and tomorrow I'm working out of one I can walk to.
Class went well. I hastily put some of my work into that silly paper and submitted it; I'm doing it right 🤗 just have to work hard and fast to get it finished by this weekend.
Had salad for tea, but need to eat more as I've not even had 600 Cal's today and 140 of that was a fizzy drink.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Sorry to hear that the job isn’t all it was advertised to be. Maybe explains the drop in pay (but doesn’t excuse how they have handled it!)

Thanks SH and Skinty
I understand there's a certain amount of flexibility with adverts, especially in public sector roles, but not to this extreme. With the salary, I do think it was just a HR mess up!
I'm looking to do a few hours study tonight, no excuse for being tired when I'm working a five minute walk away from home. If I can get one of the five sections transferred over, it would be a good start.
I find it quite distracting trying to do the work while in the class due to wearing headphones and the tutor replying to student questions, which I have to listen for as the replies might be useful.
More often than not my jaw hits the floor as I say, no you can't use that (mic is off!) I'm instantly taken back to when a colleague was doing level 1, was told what not to use by all of us in the office and the tutor, used it and didn't understand why the tutor told them off when talking to us. Also didn't understand why they got booted off the course for plagiarism after the next class as "it was right, I copied it.....I don't even know what plagiarism is"; it always explained at the start of each course / module and is a striking off offence by the regulator!
Anyhow, enough of the reminiscing, just makes me miss my career even more, but also keeps the determination flowing through my veins.
Better get ready, it's a nice day and I'll probably be having lunch by the water today 😀Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
And I was too tired when I got in as I did too much walking / using the stairs. I even went home to eat my lunch in comfort 🤭
I've learnt two of the systems today, hopefully I'll have access to the rest this week and can get to grips with them. I'm relating everything to how I used to do things in my career and I'm finding it easier to learn that way. I'm asking loads of questions, using analogies, giving examples and asking for reasons why A is different B. My boss was told I'll probably be doing part of the work this week as I'm picking it up and fully up and running the week after 🤣
It has been planned when I'll be WaH this / next week and I'm being quite open about my health with my bosses boss; we're wangling working out the local office when it's just us two and the normal one when I'm in training with my boss 🤭
I'm going to leave studies until the weekend. I can do some Friday lunchtime and immediately after work; as I'm WAH I can even start / finish earlier and I'll have all day Saturday and Sunday to finish it.
- if I've energy over the next few evenings I can do some, but it's taken pressure off me (for now).
This is the only coursework heavy course, the rest are classes, reading, writing revision notes, learning and mock exams.
I sent TomBo to the chippy as he looked how I felt. I had chips and salad, got half the salad left for my lunch tomorrow 😋
Could do with an early night, give my brain and body a rest from everything!
