Good to read you are done with the job.
I had the same last day experience where I resigned from a job and was ignored by the managers all day. They didn't even look at me. I stayed to the bitter end of the day. Confirmed I made the correct decision.
Onwards and upwards for you

Thank you DIA, there was no doubt it was the right thing to do, their actions underlined, block capitals, 72 font and highlighted it. I never behaved like they did when I ran different teams, genuine happiness when people moved on to bigger and better. Hopefully the dreams, when I sleep, of still working there will stop soon.
I'm not sure what brand they are, but they insisted I use the pick and mix price, instead of full price 😊 I may have got carried away when filling my tub as it was over £5 just on them 🤭
I've done the washing up, tidied the kitchen a bit and swept the lounge floor. I can make a start on 'tubbing up' the healthy goodies over the weekend, then reorganise the pantry to put them away.
It's raining this evening and I've not had to water the garden.

Definitely need to work on the resting bit of the equation. When you learn that can you teach the rest of us tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, I was hoping you'd reveal the secret of how to do it!
Sleeping is still messed up and it goes hand in hand with pain levels and being overtired; the meds for it are not making any difference and perhaps the pain aspect has to get looked at so the sleep side calms.
I do feel like I should be doing things and not just letting time pass by. It's a good opportunity over the next month or so to relax and do nothing, however there's things I have to do and mustn't procrastinate as life will be full on before I know it.
The little things like a bit of dusting, re-sorting clothes, dyeing my hair, brows etc can wait a few weeks as it's not as if dust or greys don't reappear. But I'll have to shave my legs Thursday ready for swimming Friday.
I'd like to get out and about a bit with TomBo on the weekends as he's got a weekday breaks routine.
Next on my list is sort my desk out, it's become a dumping ground. Until that's done I can't comfortably check my CPD and other regulatory requirements as it's changed a bit from before. I can plan and chip away at my CPD, as my module will start before I blink again.
The white chocolate buttons have an anise undertone, so I won't buy those again. The dark chocolate drops are a delight and I could probably add some to homemade biscuits, when I'm up for baking.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

I think art and photography are good outlets for you. I think you need to take account of your mobility more and not over push yourself - or if you do - do it by walking in water or swimming to gradually build up strength.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Skinty and SHI'm staying home today, took me a couple of hours to get up and I'm just about managing to potter a few footsteps unaided round the flat.
I do need to start swimming / bobbing.
My closest pool is under 5 miles away, but a dreadful 12 minute drive.
The one I do go to is 10 miles away, nicer 18 minute journey and there's a beach.
It's not viable to use the bus as that would cost over £8 each day I went and take 2 hours of waiting, walking at both ends and the journey itself.
I don't have the 'spare' energy for creativity, but when things are settled I'll revisit it, probably in winter when I'm not really gardening and need a mental break from studies.
I've tidied under the coffee table, only the top to do.
I got off to a good start with my desk, just need to organise the shelving sections, then I can finish the last few bits on the work station part.
Sounds like a lot, but it was few minute bursts, with loads of sitting down in between.
TomBo purchased a new office chair and I've got mine back.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Today has been a slow one. Lots of dipping in and out to get things done, with even more sitting down time.
Another 5 minutes should see the coffee table as a beautiful piece of furniture in the lounge. I just have to decide what glassware will go on it as the focal piece.
Potentially 15 minutes to set up my laptop, monitor, connect and position it. Everything else desk related had been done.
I've 'tubbed' nearly all the healthy dried food, stuck on the label from the packet, juggled a cupboard and wall shelf creating better storage then put things in their new spaces.
TomBo rewashed other tubs I've dug out. I'll 'tub' as many herbs and spices until I run out of them. He ordered me more tubs earlier so I can organise the remaining things when they arrive.
I was volunteered to cook tomorrow, I've made a start on a three bean chilli and will finish that in the morning. I'll get some chickpeas soaking at the same time to make a chana masala and I'll make chapati on Monday; not made either of these before.

Sounds like a good balance between activities and resting. Hope your chilli is yum 😋

Gardening is very therapeutic and can be its own form of creativity - as cooking can be too.
