  • Thanks Skinty

It's not as fiddly as it reads, but I wanted to try and explain in case anyone else was waiting to see how I get on.

In reality it took about 7 minutes, that included mixing and having a pee while the second lot was on.

Mix, apply, wipe off is all there is to it.

Now I know it's 4 minutes for the colour I'll be done in 5 minutes from start to finish next time; I've probably confused everyone again!

Every time I dye my hair or sort my face out I'm leaning over the sink, or twisting from the side of it. I've been meaning to buy a normal shaving mirror since moving up here. Ideally I'd have the one which pulls out from the wall when in use, tucks back in when not, however I'll wait until we move.

Is there a particular brand you prefer for the lashes? I'm tempted to do mine as I don't wear makeup too often nowadays, and it would probably make me look more put together with no effort in the morning.
  • Atrixa, I'm still trying to find a dedicated lash one which isn't h3nna and doesn't involve a lot of faffing.

The brow dye is s-kofpt (?), same company I use for my hair dye, unfortunately they pulled out of the lash market a few years ago.  A few other companies changed their formula and people are not impressed with the 'new and improved' version.

Ah, thank you. I'll have a look and see if I can find a vegan and cruelty free one from somewhere. There's a vegan salon near me so I might ask them what they use.
  • Thanks SH, I'll get one when we move.

Atrixa the henna ones would be fine for you, I just can't risk using them as I use regular hair dye.

After getting ready this morning, I had a look in the mirror and looked pretty good. I've put lip gloss in my bag and can apply it before getting out my car each morning.

I've got into a routine of a bit of vanilla body spray on my wrists and neck as pretend perfume. Subtle, yet lasts all day.

  • Thanks Skinty and SH

I guess it is boosting my confidence, just have to try and keep it up.

The snow is on the hills and mountains, we're just getting battered by the winds and it's quite a horrific commute at the moment.

Payday soon and I'll be a bit more chatty again, for now I'm desperately clinging on to the bit of energy I have.
