I think it was difficult for you in the run up to the loss of your mother - with work strife - followed by grief - and waves of emotion over meeting family again after so long. Starting a new job. You've got most of the life stress points on the chart. How you are feeling is normal enough - even without any underlying health conditions. The latter are just making it harder - as does pain.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've definitely had my share of naffness for a while and have to keep powering through. Perhaps my destiny isn't to have an easy life!
Had 3 letters from the DB company, eventually I managed to find the transfer value and it's just under £14.5k. Using a pension modeller for a similar scheme it could amount to about £1k pa (in today's money) when I reach SPA. The downside to leaving it is being unmarried TomBo wouldn't get a spouse pension if I died; the DB pension is still quite old fashioned in that regard.
Don't get me wrong, I do want us to get married, but it's always been discussed as when we're settled in a home. Obviously recent changes have moved that goalpost again, but I'd also want to invite family even if they couldn't make it and having a bigger home would mean I could offer beds to people!
We're having chicken wraps for tea.

As I've nothing better to do in the evenings, I'm working out financial options.
I'm contemplating doing a £100 mortgage O/P each month, putting the rest of the money into savings towards the next home. I'd still like to make a bit of a dent on the current mortgage as it's a sub-prime, hence not dropping it to £50, but I feel the idea I'm floating could be better.
I'm keeping my SIPP at £50pm for 2022, nearly £150pm goes into my work pension.
2 - 3 years of saving, while I wrap the estate up and settle down, could make a huge difference. My overall savings would increase, providing a greater comfort blanket, while opening up possibilities of locations / properties. Yet at the same time enabling me to become mortgage neutral.
I paid the instalment to the CC the DD didn't take, my new statement will show tomorrow but the interest has gone on; just under £750 to go.
I've paid the remaining gas and electric.
Look away now as I've got £179 in the bank, all for bills and petrol, 2 weeks until payday.

Thanks SH and Skinty
I manage because I have to and as I've got a full freezer and pantry, the latter makes a huge difference with budgeting.
My plans and ideas are being welcomed at work. I've taken a different tactic in doing the work their way, sussing out a plan, setting up the database, trialling it, proving my way works and get each member of staff working within my routine one by one 🤫 I'm also slowly changing the way existing members of staff work and improving communications so we've all got a clear understanding of what's going on.
I picked up some cheese and leek bread and a loaf with chia seeds. If they're ok it's another local business getting my money.
We're having soup and bread for tea, I'm resting on the sofa.

Thanks DIA
Chia seed bread with mulligatawny soup is what I opted for, it was very nice.
I keep forgetting to add bits to my updates and remember after I've posted, or someone mentions similar in their diary and it reminds me of what I meant to say!
I've taken 15 minutes off the heating timer in the mornings. I will tweak the evening timer the weekend.
I'm not actively dieting but noticed I've lost a bit. It will be due to not working at home and having a few minutes walk several times a day. My current weight is 13st 6lbs.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
