  • The base was as thick as three biscuits, the top was more like a thick mousse. I've finally recovered from the sweetness of it.

If ever you're up this way DIA, I'll take you to it!

  • The weather hasn't been too good today, well from a gardening point of view. Hopefully next week will be better and I can start up my second strawberry patch.

It's also one of those days where there's about 4 hours of daylight, already starting to get dark again.

We have been to a different T today, got veg, milk, pop, nibbles etc and some reduced ribs. TomBo paid £21.

I found one thing at J.L to buy with my voucher, still got about £95 to try and spend, I keep dipping in and out online. It's the kind of shop I'd prefer to look round on the off chance I see something, but I can't justify traveling to it.

We're having roast beef and veg tonight.

Waving goodbye to 2021. With just under £1,100 in the bank, the bills will come flying out next week, £50 in my purse and a well stocked kitchen, I'm ready to see what the new year brings 😀

    Thank you SH and SW

We've got this year off to a good start! It's a lovely sunny, warm day.

I've already received interest on some savings; I have three lots over all my accounts at various points throughout the month.

We've spent time in the garden, finally transplanted the strawberries and all the babies. Lifted some root veg and a leek; can feel a stew coming on with the leftover beef. TomBo transplanted one of my thyme to give the others space. I've also put more garlic in.

The rest of my day has nothing planned aside from feet up and some TV.

    Thanks Skinty

It was good to be outside and plan what I would be doing and where. TomBo has prepared the one plot for me.

I've still got a lot growing from last year, which is helping to keep us well fed.

I suggested a stew for tomorrow to use up some of the harvested veg, TomBo agrees with the idea.

    Tonight we're having ribs 😀
