It's good that lots of mysteries are coming out. Hope you can rest a bit more. Glad you are posting as we are all thinking of you. Bet Cat is loving the holiday.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Thanks SWCat is spoilt, didn't like being told she owes us for her portion of the holiday cost as she shut up 😹 She settled into the hotel room quicker than MILs home, probably as there's a lot less to explore. Depending on how she is when we get home, we're already talking about our next family holiday!
Put a large towel over the radiator and it's kept a lot of the heat out the room. It's a more comfortable temperature.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
I wouldn't have thought of blocking the heat with a towel but good call. Glad you are planning another holiday.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH and SW
Everything worked out. I blubbered a lot, as did everyone, the wake was a celebration of life.
I ventured down a road of discovery, have no questions left to ask and received loads of answers, even down to tiny details. I'm no longer half, but a happy whole person ❤️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thank you SHIt was very hard. I think funerals are more about giving closure and a final goodbye for the living, that was achieved.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

Thanks Skinty
Life, and I, make sense. It's a shame it took until mom died to get answers, but that's how it was always going to be.
A side of me is tempted to scatter mom's ashes where dad was, so he had another chance of resolving things with her wherever they are; that would set her free in death. However, knowing my luck it would make things worse for both of them, as mom was not a forgiving woman and it would bring an eternity of hell to them instead 🙈
They both sit comfortably in my heart and thoughts.
I've carried a large weight on my shoulders, with emptiness, all my life and can begin the grieving process for both.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
