  • Thanks Skinty, unfortunately it's bad news for me personally and I have to start dealing with it, while doing everything else.

Just waiting for TomBo to get jabbed and then can go home.

  • I am glad you did a bit of pampering and that your friend has been able to help you cope with things a little. Just hang in there ok. Sending love and hugs, swx

  • Thanks SW x

I'll find out in a few days if TomBo is able to get the time off work. Owing to finding relatives I'm now thinking a long weekend trip is in order and found some pet friendly hotels; a few have pools. I could turn it into a little holiday for us three 😊

I think this will really help.

  • I think so too SW.

For 3 nights it's coming in about £280, as they charge for furbabies, I could find a cheaper place but it wouldn't have a pool and grounds to walk round.

While taking cat with us will stress her out for a bit, until she sleeps, then again putting her in the hotel room until she's done her walk round it, I'd be a lot happier having her with us, than leaving her at home and having an unfamiliar person popping in to feed her.

I could meet up with people for a few hours, TomBo can explore and we'll have evenings together, nice restaurant food and hit a curry house.

If TomBo can't get the time off, then I'll book the original hotel, meet everyone and go for curry each night 🤣 before returning to the hotel in the evening. Lots of swimming to counteract the food.

    Today's plans:
    - Pop to T as I've not got lunches sorted out.
    - Dye and pluck brows.
    - Shower.
    - Paint nails.
    - Sort 1st day outfit.
    - Rest, plenty of rest!

I'm looking forward to starting my new role tomorrow 😊 it's been the light at the end of the tunnel 🤗

  • Good luck tomorrow. It is good that you will be going somewhere nice as a family.

  • Thanks SW, I'll know in a few days if it's a family holiday, just me or some other combination.

Spent just over £50 in T 🙈 Picked up the usual meat, a nice pork joint, veg, wraps and my work meals / snacks.

My breakfast, lunches and snacks will be banana smoothie, cheese spread on A1DI r1v1ta, mini spicy sausages, mini eggs, yoghurt or rice pudding. Drinks will be lime squash and mint hot chocolate. Once I've got the first week out the way I'll have a better idea about what food to take.
    - I'll sort my lunchbox out in a bit and get everything else packed in my bag. Each evening I can prepare the next days lunchbox.

TomBo isn't feeling too good today, hopefully he'll be better in a few days. However, it hasn't stopped him doing the washing (how many loads have we done this week!) and is just making a start on batch cooking, afterwards it's a quick tidy up.

I'm looking forward to starting! Unfortunately, I look and feel dreadful as unsurprisingly I've had an IBS flare up 🤣

I am in good spirits, picked up some nice biscuits for everyone to have with their brew's this morning and am confident I'll settle in quickly.
