Doing a quick lunchtime check-in.
Had to scrape the car this morning and I thought I was going to be late, but I did make it in on time. It's a nice 30 minute drive and loads of photo opportunities on the way in 😀
It's such a relaxed environment and I opted to dress down a bit more and go for warmth. I must find woolly tights for tomorrow as it's freezing up north, thank goodness I put my new boots on 🤣
There's two of us started and my role is a bit different to what I was told, but it suits me 😊
- the system is so much easier to use than the last place!
My accrued holiday will be used for a couple of Christmas closure days, which is how I thought they would run it. I'm getting my compassionate leave too. I get death in service benefit as a standalone item and a matched DC pension. It's SSP, with discretionary sick pay, but I don't tend to have time off so that's not a worry.
I'm also getting paid this month and will comfortably make it through to next payday 🤗

Thank you SH and SW
It was good news about the pay and a weight off my mind.
I did enjoy being round everyone, it's a small office and such a contrast to anywhere else I've worked. One of the systems I'm using I'd previously thought about doing a course for, it's cheap enough to do and would be worthwhile.
I didn't enjoy the drive home much, barely any mway lights on the way back, until I was nearly home, but I'll get used to it.
TomBo was sent home from work, he never told me and he was wrapped up on the sofa with cat nurse when I got in. He's pale and very wobbly.
My tummy still isn't right and I'm in a fair bit of pain, which isn't surprising.

So glad to hear that your first day went well. Hope your ibs settles. Poor Tombo sounds like he has caught one of the nasty viruses going round. (Hope it’s not Covid).

Thank you LW2GYesterday was the first day I avoided dealing with anything to do with it as it had been full on since she passed, but I was 'doubling up' with the funeral and mom's estate to make it easier long-term. I've got the celebrant appointment tomorrow evening, therefore can't avoid it tomorrow.
It's slightly warmer today, I did put my woolly tights on, think I'll be living in these boots until spring! I've also got my winter coat on.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
It must be very full on but I am glad you have managed to find a bit of time to not be sorting things out. It must be extremely draining emotionally xMortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650.
