  • Thanks SH

Sorry for the late update!  Felt like I'd been hit by a bus when I got up, so didn't go out and vegged on the sofa.

    Dry washing put away
Washing (towels) done and hung up
    Dehumidifier on
    Window open in bedroom

Lunch was those biscuits, but I've now run out.

I've not yet done the washing up, might leave that until tomorrow.

I did dye my hair yesterday, will try and dye my brows and do a little tweezer tidy up tomorrow. Nails will be painted Sunday.

Chippy night for tea, have to decide what to have.

  • Am so sorry to hear this MF ❤️ It’s hard enough to deal with everything without idiots on the phone. We had a similar experience with the holiday insurance for mum. Well done lodging a complaint. Fight it all the way. Sending hugs x

Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Thanks Skinty, I couldn't have someone else go through what I did.

Got an appointment next week with the celebrant, doesn't give me much time to work bits out, but at least it's another thing off my list.

I'm trying not to think of how big my CC bill is 🙈 I am keeping receipts for applicable spends.

Just have to organise accommodation and will sort an outfit from my suits.

At least the CC gives you a little breathing space - and hopefully a chance to get your brother to help. Be kind to yourself... take help when it's offered. If your MIL is still willing to help out with the car - perhaps try that option - and that would reduce the pressure on your overall funds.

I do feel like I'm able to breathe again, even if I have only delayed dealing with it to January.

Hopefully the deposit can be spread, but I'll know when it changes from pending in a few days.

The float will cover the other two payments on the CC today, I can then build that up a bit ready for the next lot.

I'll have a look at numbers next weekend, as I get my final wages, and work out a plan to get the CC cleared. I'm mindful my main CC doesn't have a large limit, while I could potentially ask for an increase I'm happy with it as it is. I'm reluctant to use my old CC due to the interest rate.

I've a couple of other little pots I can use, with minimal impact, if needs be, however I have to retain my EF's.

Can't remember if I said, but my new company has granted me a few days compassionate leave for the funeral. I am going to book myself a nice hotel with a pool.
    - I will use my car pot for this as it's 6 months before I need to use it on the insurances and I can top it up a bit each month.

Going to try my hardest to be me this weekend as I need a break from everything. My next proper break will be Christmas.

Definitely need to look after yourself. Good you can have a few days off around the funeral. You'll need them

  • Have a lovely break this weekend to rest and recharge. Try and put everything out of your mind for a few days and enjoy some pampering and time with Tombo.

  • Thanks SH and Skinty

Sadly no day off, I've just finished and started the moment I got up ☹️ I'm exhausted.

I have received some news, which has confirmed what I suspected, just have to contact my GP to try and organise a few things. A friend called and helped me process my initial thoughts.

Some positive news is I'm in touch with other blood relatives I'm so looking forward to meeting them again ❤️ I'll get some personal information about the other half of me over time too 😊

I'm getting ready in a bit as we're going to Pets for kitty items, afterwards TomBo is getting booster and flu jabs.

We're having spag bol for tea.
