I agree there's a new wave of positivity. Shows how important having a vision for your life can be. I think it was also good that you invested in new to you clothes and shoes etc. They all can increase confidence when things seem to be against us and help us push through.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Skinty!
I've go so many ideas for my new role I may have to start writing them down 😄 I can begin slowly implementing them when I've sussed all the personalities and what approach to take. I even have ideas about how to make my role work and organise the different elements, adapting them as required.
I'm looking forward to going into the office each day, having structure with my workload and no unrealistic expectations.
There is a lot to learn, some I can do straight off, others I will get taught.
I am also going to put my outfits together and hang them in the wardrobe; must buy another one then we both have space.
It may be best if I slow some personal plans down until I'm properly free; although I'm haunted by the garlic and onions as they have to go in over the next few weeks. Aside from that I will stick with simple things like pamper, rest, being at the beck and call of cat. It has been full-on since moving up here and once I'm on 'holiday' I can do a few things. (I can hear you all say "about time"!)
We're having burgers for tea 😃

About time LOL
Be kind to you.

Thanks you SH, It's good advice!
Thanks SW, I am looking forward to it, bit nervous obviously. I keep reading my offer letter 😊
I can get up at 7am, leave home before 8am and should be back just after 5pm, therefore not a long day and I get to sing on the way in / out.
I'm even planning my lunches as breaks are compulsory and no one is expected, or allowed, to sit at their desk all day. Even going for a brief walk, tea breaks and chats are part of the culture; it's a lot to get my head round and adjust to.
Today I had a lie in, don't recall even waking when TomBo got up.
I'm about to go out for petrol and pop to the antique shop to find a wardrobe; if they don't have a suitable one I can go back to the other furniture charity shop next weekend and pick one.
Afterwards, if it doesn't rain, I will take a stroll round the garden, followed by a pamper, do my nails and have a coffee.

Petrol has gone up, it cost me £39 to fill my tank! I'm budgeting £100pm for petrol, £80 of that will be for work and I'll get points towards my Christmas shopping 😃
I've purchased two wardrobes, both have the drawers in the bottom, cost £117.50 including delivery.
- The company are having / taking the old wardrobe and chest of drawers when they deliver.
Plans for the dressing room:
TomBo can move all of his stuff into his new one.
I'm going to move as much of my clothes into mine as I can, while also going through them and adding things to the charity bag.
I've some storage bag things with zips and handles which will house the bedding and towels, they can go on top of the wardrobes.
- the tallboy can then get rehomed.
In the dressing room there will only be the 2 wardrobes and my art area!
Bedroom ideas:
All that will be left to do in the flat is the bedroom and I can upgrade that next year 😃
I've got 1K3A cubes in there, they currently hold most of my clothes and my shoe / boot collection is on top. Writing this up, they're probably perfect for the bedding and towels. Ummm I feel a dilemma coming on 🙈
Slight change of plan for this afternoon, we're meeting up with cousin for coffee and it's sunny.
Life is heading in the right direction 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

Thanks SW, it's been a nice day and I hope you've got cake!
Used my B00ts voucher, picked up San Spa shower gel, 2x refills and travel sized hand cream; it will fit nicely in my handbag.
The impromptu meet was great, I had a Belgian chocolate, hazelnut and whipped cream cold drink and I got to see their delightful 'puppy' again 😍
TomBo is batch cooking and seems to have found a routine doing it, I've got my feet up 🤭

Thanks Skinty
I didn't relish the idea of trying to give them away and asked on the off chance as they came with the flat.
Maybe I should have donated them to charity, but I need them for now and wouldn't have the space to store them until collected when the new ones arrive.
The pine frame of mine kind of ties in with TomBo's new one, the window surrounds and my easel. The white doors and drawer facings will tie in with art area; white desk for my PC (for photography).
The room itself is white and I've one painting of lilies hanging up.
It should look great when fully organised 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4
