Sounds a great idea to have a hair cut - then the hair can match all the new clothes etc.

    Thanks SH and Skinty
Seeing it get to me means I'm not dehumanised and can bounce back from the place. I've never turned on people when they've resigned and shows these people should not be in the position they are. Eighteen days, not long now!

I'm building up a loose plan of ideas for my holiday, so far it consists of hair cut, swimming, numerous pampers, flat pottering and garden pottering; the more I can do of the latter two over the next few weeks, the more fun things I can do instead 🤗

    October financial roundup:

Saved £211, pushes me to over £5,034.
Car pot £62, pushes me to over £465.
Float £110, pushes me to over £120.

    CF O/S balance is £2,718.
    Mortgage O/S balance is £60,602.
    CC O/S balance is £143.
    - it's up due to adding the wardrobes, Xmas shopping element will be cleared by DD payment.

November plans are a little different than normal, as I need to ensure I've more than enough money to see me through to the end of the year, just in case I miss payroll cut off for my new role.

I will be making a smaller mortgage O/P, paying into my two EFs and some off the CC. This will allow me to build up my float and cover the difference from my final wages while paying my December outgoings.

November and December I will receive money from TomBo, some of that will be used to make an extra CF payment, the rest will be added to the float.

I estimate three tanks of petrol will be required until Christmas closure. Normally I drop the unused budget into savings, I will keep it in my current account instead.

Once I make it to the Christmas holidays, and get paid, I can look at what's left in the float and decide the best use for some of it.

Obviously, if I do get paid from new role next month I just revert to my previous budgets and plans and all this becomes irrelevant 😃

Simply brilliant! I would never be able to cope with even the stress of not being paid on time let alone plan a contingency!

    Thanks SW

Felt like a productive thing to work out. I may only need about £80 after getting my November final pay and that's already sitting in the float 😊

Legs have been pampered and I've no excuse not to go swimming tomorrow 😃

Jeans, leggings, main tops and smalls moved the the drawers; they hold a lot more than I thought they would (I've reworded this a few times and it always sounds wrong!).
    - After I've moved things around in my wardrobe I can go through my remaining clothes in the cube, decide what to keep and put them away too.

I'm setting myself a very ambitious challenge of only having the new wardrobe for my clothes 🙈

That will leave me with a quandary about where to keep my shoes, boots, pumps and bags, but I'll save that for another day.

I've looked at how TomBo has put the bedding etc on top and that could be improved. Again, that's something for another time, after all I can't be having too much fun in one go!

Having the right furniture in a small home, makes storage solutions a lot easier.

Tonight we're having sausage, spuds and onion gravy 😃

Well done on the home organisation. Tea sounds lovely too. I've run out of time to have mine before my class but debating what to have after... Toss up between a proper meal - and something easy like soup or another bowl of porridge.

If in doubt have soup as it's quick, tasty and comforting.

It's so funny, I started writing my other post and saying what I needed to do, put my phone down, did it and come back to rewrite part of it, nearly talking myself into finishing moving the rest of my clothes over as I wrote that do to up 😃

The weather isn't that great up here and the onions / garlic are still waiting to go in. Feel a bit disorganised with gardening at the moment, but that should settle again in a few weeks.

Maybe I should slow it down a bit, be kind to myself as I've added a few new things in lately.

On that note, my weekend plans have expanded!
Swimming tomorrow (SIL) and Sunday (SIL and mini me) 😊

Had a rough night and ended up sitting on the sofa at 1am. It doesn't seem to have stopped raining, great for the garden but not for getting to my car.

Some bills have come out, the rest are due Monday.

Today's plan is swimming, cake and hot chocolate at SIL, food shopping and I'm cooking tonight.

Time to brave the great outdoors!
