  • Thank you LW2G, Skinty and DIA

Morale has found new depths to sink to following a meeting, nothing will change and there's always going to be excuses.

I've called SD and it's £7.50 for threading, which I think is reasonable.

Later I'm having a mini pamper.  This time it's legs; I've some nice body scrub to use first, followed by defuzzung them.

Slight change of plan for tomorrow as I'm not supposed to get my face wet after having my brows done. It looks like swimming, followed by shopping and then coffee.
    - Eyebrow dye I'll do the weekend.

I'm tempted to get council leisure membership as I get corporate rates, but depending on where I work I may only get to go swimming on the weekends. However, a private hotel / club costs more, but the hours would fit around work better and has holistic treatments too.
    - Have to give it a bit of thought.

I'm on my second coffee of the day.

I had men waxed yesterday ... Must do it more often.

😳 I can think of a few men I would pay to see being waxed 😂. Would only like to see the pain on their faces not the actual parts being waxed 🤣

MF you are worth so much more than those idiots. Enjoy your long weekend

Thanks Skinty, I am and at least it's over for a few days.

There's videos on YT, shows the nice bright red patches of hair free areas. Some bottle it after the first strip is ripped off, eyes full of tears and their opinions of what women do changes 🤣

I have noticed more places are offering 'male only' days or evenings now, so there's got to be a good enough market for it.

A former workmate did it for charity, several of us asked if we could pay more and do the strip ripping, but he didn't see the funny side of it!

Anyway, I'm very late for my pamper and must make a start 🤭

The pamper was nice. San Spa scrub, gel and nice razor, legs feel silky smooth.

    Tomorrow's plan has changed!
    - I'm going shopping in the morning.
    - In the afternoon swimming with SIL and mini me. How much I will actually get to do I don't know, it may just be a lot of playing.

I've looked into the council leisure centres and what my local one offers. Just over £18pm for swimming only and I can fit in 2 - 3 sessions a week. I'm going to sign up for a month, see how I get on and then pay for a year while I still have access to the discount 🤭

  • I’m glad you can try it for a month before signing up. Once u you have paid up front for a year can you give notice to cancel & get any refund if you change your mind or find you are not using it ?

Enjoy your pool session with SIL and mini me. I predict much splashing and playing 💦😆

  • Thanks Skinty
I can pause the membership, but I'm doing this in an attempt to improve my mobility.

I've also looked at the timetables for the next closest one and the other village we go to.
    - If my next job is over this side I could slot sessions in on my way in or out.
    - If it's back to the city then I stick with weekends and the occasional late evening.

I'm able to keep buying monthly passes until I know what my next move is and then pay for a year, with the discount 😃
    - I'll recalculate everything when I know where I am working, to make sure I'm getting the best use / deal.

I should also look at near FT roles, see what the wages are like.

I've cooked the soup / stew, just have to reheat it when TomBo's home this evening.

He has found a good second hand furniture place (charity), think we may be looking the weekend; they can have our old stuff.

It's blue sky and sunshine, but looks cold out!

Taken me a while to write this as I'm multitasking around the flat 🤭

Had a great day. Went to B00ts and SD, picked up San Spa items and got my brows threaded.
    - thought I may as well risk it as I the swimming wouldn't be laps.

I've been swimming and didn't want to leave the pool! Did some half widths, but felt guilty leaving SIL to keep an eye on mini me alone.
    - Trying to get everything dried off in readiness for my next session.

Soup stew is on the hob heating up and I've got my feet up 😃

  • So jealous of the swimming I am going to the local pool tomorrow to see if I can get myself a reasonable membership deal.
If I am going to be here through the winter it would be good to stay as supple and as well as possible.

    @Skint_yet_Again I wish I had a man/men to wax. :)

    Enjoy your soup-stew @MovingForwards
