  • You are right to move on from a job that gives you no recognition for your efforts. Hope the agency lady is in contact soon and then you can poke 2 fingers up at current job 😉

Good that you are building a friendship with SIL. 😃

    Thanks Skinty and SW
I also had to wait for the right time to move on, but I'm definitely going, I've even worked out my email when I've secured a new job 🤭

I'm hoping to take SIL out again next week, but it will be for coffee and cake or ice cream.

Had my sibling constantly moaning and complaining, pulling them up about it resulted in laughter, which hasn't gone down well with me. They know I'm under a lot of stress and pressure.

I've had a suit, bag and a pair of shoes arrive; unfortunately I'm going to re-home the shoes as they're not suitable for me, which is a shame as I'd planned them for summer office outfits!

We've been in the garden this morning and harvested over 14lbs of potatoes and another squash.

Taken various meats out the freezer, TomBo will batch cook everything tomorrow.

I'm relaxing on the sofa as it's raining for the rest of the day.

£226 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, £20 is PP spends, 19 days until payday.

Great gardening, it's a shame about the shoes but you still did really well with the rest of the items.

  • At least you have time to look for other summer shoes. Great harvesting & yay to Tombo batch cooking 🤗 I look forward to hearing about what lovely meals you are having.

    Thanks SW and Skinty
This pair of shoes were a random pair I spotted and it's a risk I take ordering online. Maybe I planned to far in advance 😀

    The meals:
    S roast beef and veg
    M spag bol
    T pork risotto
    W I've forgotten! Maybe chicken?
T sausage, mash and onion gravy
F lamb or beef stew / chunky soup (I'm cooking)

TomBo is also making roast squash, I'm doing a spicy chicken and squash soup, depending on how much squash is actually inside them!

He's just got back from T, very proud of his YS meat purchases, chicken and pork. I stayed home.

Not much planned for today aside from cooking, reading, resting and a shower.

Good it is about time you rested. What's lovely is that you are taking some time out for you. In one year i can do that again. I cant wait!

  • Thanks SW, had no choice as a rough night on the sofa with little sleep means not much energy. The next year will soon fly by.

Had an indulgent shower with my expensive body wash. I've asked TomBo to buy me it for cake day as that way I could use it as weekend treats.

Slight change of plans with the meals!
S roast beef, squash and beetroot
    M pork chops and veg
    T spag bol
    W chicken stir fry
T sausage, mash and onion gravy
    F stew / chunky soup (I'm cooking)

No squash soup at this stage as they store fresh for a while.

What I'm liking about these meals is S, M, W, T and F the veg elements are all homegrown 😀

Got to love homegrown food. At least some of your online purchases have been successful. Presumably you could resell the discards

  • Thanks SH, I've gathered things up for charity and added that one pair of shoes to it. I've not got the mental energy to try and sell things.

I've had my 'thanks' and picked out vouchers from the company my employer is signed up with. I know I should appreciate the 'free' £100 products I will buy with the gift cards, however it means I'm 'valued' at 35p a day for one aspect of what I've covered over 14 months.
    - In total I've been valued at under £2k, which I think speaks volumes and doesn't reflect well on them.

I will be going shopping on my way home and spending my £20 BodyS voucher!
