I hope you are ok this weekend. It is hard if you cant log on as you feel out of the loop at work but hopefully it will sort itself out. Happy Easter. Fingers crossed for a quick house move.

It's been very hard @savingwannabe there is someone who sent me a whole list of things they want me to do, knowing I was working off my phone and without full access, then proceeded to slug me off to his colleagues that he wasn't getting the support promised! I'm still raging about it all.
I'm hoping to hear something about my mortgage extension soon, without that there is no move, just a load of financial heartache and potentially bankruptcy if my solicitor has concluded missives (exchanged). Which is also adding to my stress.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
It would be irresponsible of the solicitor to exchange without an extended mortgage offer surely.
Hope you re having a good day where you are. Try and take a walk in the sunshine. Happy EasterAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@savingholmes he wouldn't exchange without me passing my probation and having the extended mortgage offer before, sent me a huge email of all the clauses from the missives (contract) saying this is what would happen if you don't complete, never bothered explaining in non-legal terms.
Therefore when he said about concluding missives (exchanging), I still hadn't passed my probation (obviously have now), but I don't have the extension.
This is the same guy who suggested I use another lender months ago, but shut up when I said it's the only lender available to me; I'm guessing he somehow lacks experience of sub-prime lenders.
All the information states property sales can complete if it's a vacant property, therefore I think my seller has been quite clever getting his family to move out 🤭
I've seen on MSE my lender has furlonged a load of its staff, I can only hope the underwriter who has dealt with my application isn't one of them, as another underwriter could easily ask for further information causing my offer to be withdrawn. Again, another stress.
I will be drafting the email to the solicitors today. It's going to take ages as I will be using government guidance to support my case.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Sunday update:
I've lost 1lb, still loads to go but my weight is going in the right direction.
Made a small donation to charity yesterday.
Transferred a little bit to my AFs.
I'm trying to save my hair dye for when things are back to normal, unless I can find my regular colour and buy a few boxes of it. Not sure how much longer I can take seeing the grey hair coming through. Unless I can ration the half I have left 🤔
To keep myself occupied I'm planning the things I will do when lockdown is over. A nice meal out, a take-away, going to the beach, going to the forest, revisiting places which have ruins, getting a haircut, eyebrows threaded, eyebrows /eyelashes dyed.
-- I'm sure this list will grow!
Some things I want to do during lockdown include finishing the kitchen, doing the bathroom and painting it, giving everywhere a wipe over, paint my nails, pluck my eyebrows, go through my camera equipment, check my charger and batteries, find more stuff to pack without leaving me short, try and get a GP appointment, organise a comfortable working area.
-- again this list will grow!
Happy Easter everyone xMortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Well done on losing 1lb MF. I think I must have caught it as I put 1lb on 😆
I know what you mean about the grey hair. My hair is naturally light brown but my roots are total grey. I usually have a brown base colour & blonde highlights at the hairdressers. Luckily the sun has turned my hair all blonde so the grey is not as noticeable.Keep adding to your list of things to do. Mine helps me keep sane. 🤪0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hope you're feeling OK. Have you had a reply from your solicitor yet?

No reply to my long email, as to be expected.
He hasn't concluded missives (exchanged) but has requested it from the sellers solicitors.
No mortgage extension offers are being processed, unless exchange took place about 3 weeks ago.
I haven't a clue what is going to happen with my purchase, but will be unpacking the weekend and I've started looking at alternative rentals.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
You must be so fed up with it all. Just keep your fingers crossed that as everyone must be in the same position hopefully everything is just put on 'hold' until things get back to somewhere near normal.I'm assuming your rental period is up where you are at the moment? Would they let you extend for 1 month at a time? Can't imagine they'll have people lining up to move in (isn't everyone supposed to be staying in) Worth a try anyway. Take care of yourself and try to stay positive. ((hugs))I Believe.....

My rental went on to a rolling contact about a year ago.
I am fed up with it all.
The lender isn't releasing full information online so I'm thinking one thing is going on, I can get the extension then proceed only reading on this forum I find out other stuff, then get a drib of info from my broker which I then have to try and clarify and that contradicts what the lender has on their site.
The solicitor does legal jargon, not offering any advice. Leads me to think one thing and get into a huge panic, only it turns out he hasn't done what he said he was doing. Now is pushing it back due to his guess of the lenders unknown stance and I still doubt I would complete based on my huge email to him even if the lender extended my offer.
It's frustrating as other people are completing and getting to move, but it looks like mine will fall through, but I'm held in limbo for about 3 - 4 weeks while the lender makes a decision about offers that haven't exchanged / need extending.
My offer has now expired and I don't know if I will be getting an extension, if I do then there will be other hurdles to overcome due to when the valuation was done and the solicitors stance.
I don't even have enough saved to look further out and buy a really cheap place that needs TLC / modernising.
I've hit rock bottom as I've been focused on getting this far for years.
