That’s all sounding very positive MF how long do you anticipate it taking to complete & are people still actually physically moving ? Can you get removal companies to move your stuff ?

Got to check with my solicitor, but don't want to do that til I have the letter from my boss.

Worst case is I hire a van!

    Thank you.

It's taken long enough for the laptop to be sorted out.

    Thursday update.

Passed my probation, details have been sent to the lender and my broker. Waiting to see if my mortgage extension is being granted.

Need to send an email to my solicitor to say why I should be allowed to complete, listing financial reasons and health reasons for consideration. Last I heard from him he was going to conclude missives (exchange) with date of entry TBC (completion).
-- Which he previously wouldn't do due to me needing to pass my probation and have my offer extended and the financial risk to me if I wasn't as to complete.
-- I'm at risk of losing everything and more, therefore stressed does not cover how I feel at the moment.

Got my laptop today, within a few seconds of getting it home I was up and running. Just have to get everything set up eg quick links etc. Will be organising my workspace over the weekend.

I (all of business) have been given this bank holiday off. We don't normally have them due to closing over the Christmas / New Year period. Haven't anything planned.

OHs sister is struggling to get some items from the shops (baking things), my supplies have been raised (as I'm not baking in this oven) and are being dropped to her over the weekend, together with bits for her mini me. Drop and go.

I'm starting to feel a little better and able to eat a little more. I had a lump pop up on my finger a few days after I got ill, haven't a clue what it is and will need to get it looked at somehow if it doesn't go away or turn into something obvious; internet searches haven't given me any clue.

My knee is still painful and I can't put weight on it properly or twist it. I had hoped the forced stay home would have made a difference; internet searches are not much help as it doesn't really tally with how or where it hurts.

My insurance have changed my bank card details, but I need to call them again as the self-service information is saying there's no payment details. Will try tomorrow if they are open.

I need to put away just under £160 now for my AFs, which will be in by the end of this month at the latest.
-- it's still going to be odd saving just for the sake of saving; think it's good I've my little planned pots as it will give me something to focus on.
-- APRs are dropping on all my accounts, main thing is they were reasonable when I needed them to be.

Looked at my available offers from the bank, a couple of credit cards including 0%, a loan, an overdraft and potentially a mortgage!
-- I do think these are a good way of me monitoring how I'm viewed as a financial risk by an institution as I've gone as far as I can with the CRAs and keeping an eye on my old history, now I can focus on building my new history.
-- I'm not applying for anything, just using it as a guide and fully expect everything to vanish when my savings are withdrawn and paid out.

I've had a lot go on today haven't I, normally it's a few days of info I update on.

    Have a lovely Easter everyone.

I went out and made two deliveries of emergency supplies, both of which made family very happy. I was really pleased to see them; an elderly couple and one in not so good health who we only get to see a few times a year. Managed to provide a few Easter treats to the other to give mini me an egg hunt the weekend, OHs sister was fighting back the tears.

We are planning a family gathering, for when this is all over, it will be a giant 2020 birthday party for all of us.

On the way home I popped through the village my flat is in, still as beautiful as I remembered and gave me a much needed lift. It really is everything I want. Then smiled as I went by my flat and had a huge smile as I saw the water when I got a little bit further down the road 🥰

Sounds like a positive trip out. Glad Easter was saved for little one. Easter eggs were one of the first things I stocked up on as I thought there would be problems nearer the time. DD and I made a whole 4 chocolate rice krispie cakes with half an easter egg and the mini eggs that came with it and a swirl of out of date nutella. It was delish! I now need to make myself a more sensible tea. I've been painting the back of the shed which made me do all sorts of exercise the physio would have been proud of - but is now making my knee sore. Hope your aches and pains resolve soon. No doubt you will feel a lot better once you've safely moved.

  • I could keep saving after reaching the top, but I have no interest in doing so, I don't want to keep paying out dead money each month in rent as that could be going on my own home.

yes same mistake for all people

It was a very positive trip, I only expected to get normal eggs for them, so it was great seeing the smaller ones and thought mini me would enjoy a good egg hunt round the house / garden. I also managed to find bread and cake mix in the supermarket so that got added to the stuff from my cupboards.

Your treats sound great! I've some healthy (ish) sweet treat recipes, which the average home has in the cupboard eg no bake flapjack, fruit cookies etc, let me know if you want the recipes 😁

I've a pot of OOD chocolate spread in the cupboard, was saving it for when I started baking again. My stance is it's not been opened so should be fine.

Do you have a roller with an extending handle? That would probably make it easier to do the 4th side, even as a temp measure until you can reach it from your neighbours.

Rest up tomorrow, that way you can assess what's ok, what's not, how long til it settles etc. Then you know what you can do around the home / garden and what needs to wait a little.

I will feel much better, if only mentally, when I move. When I moved into this one I plummeted after a week, that was before the upstairs neighbours swapped properties with the new ones and everything that came with them, only feeling better when I'm completely away from it eg picnic on the beach or in a forest.

Life is just going to get too exciting for me, I've decided to slowly and carefully start cleaning this flat.

Today's clean was the oven, sat on the floor to do the door and need to suss a better way of getting to the inside sides as bending / twisting wasn't good.

Tomorrow will be the shelves in the oven, again sitting on the floor.

Will work my way slowly through the kitchen before picking another room.

Before anyone asks, yes, I hurt and have taken more meds!

Beautiful blue sky, my cat is snoring and sunbathing, I've got me feet up.

I'm plotting what to put in my email to my solicitor, although from my research there is nothing preventing a move into an empty property. Doing as much research as I can before preparing my email, that way I can cover things from my health / financial perspective together from a legal perspective.
