Hi MF - hope things with the mortgage fall into place. It's tricky times - but all being well in just a few weeks you will be in your new place.

    Sunday update:

Starting to get very irked by people!
    -- Apologies for the moaning.

The above neighbours had one adult continually coughing, then one of the little kids have started. The whole lot then went off out for a bit and are even noisier than ever now back home.
-- I won't be touching the bannister or walls on my way in / out and will take my chances of having a fall on the stairs. Have disposable items to open the communal door.
-- Due to the location I'm in, I can see all the bunched up people cycling and walking around.

Called my mom to wish her happy mother's day.
-- Ended up lecturing her about going out to the shops etc and told her to stay in, go into the garden only. She won't listen and is in the aged high risk group.

Was supposed to go to the beach this afternoon, it's a small / quiet one as it's more rocks and pebbles than sand, so not really used.
-- Had a dodgy tummy, so that put paid to me getting any fresh air; I've been in ever since I got sent home from work.

All I feel like I'm doing is trying to stop people from arguing and adding to the stress they are under.

Having to offer suggestions to my sibling who is moaning he can't get a certain brand of this food, that food, the other food, toiletries etc and having any suggestions thrown back in my face each time, with an excuse as to why not. On top of that he is still spending money, even though being self-employed he is at risk of having no income if the location has to stop the work.
-- I've been saying for years he needs to get a separate emergency fund etc. I'm beginning to wonder about him and what's up with him!
-- I've previously bailed him out a few times.

My sub-prime CC company wanted to reduce my credit limit, I've said not to.
-- want to make sure I've access to their frequent 0% 6 month purchase offers for when I move 🤭
-- I will be getting rid of it this year though.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can get my mortgage offer extended and get out of this madhouse of a block / area shortly after.

Reworked my budget for when I move, can safely put away a fair bit, as I will stick to the no-spend way of life I've had since starting over.
-- Provided the swimming pool is open, or when it is open again, I will be starting my membership.

Lost 2lb this week 🤗 will probably be losing 2 - 4lb each week until things are back to normal.
-- I don't have three meals a day when I'm not at work, due to being inactive.

I've decided the first meal I'm having when I move, is a stack of roast chicken wings 🤭🤭

Not sure what's for tea as my OH is surprising me.

£10 in the bank, 5 days til payday, just over £700 needed for my AFs.

    Enjoy your evening 😁

Well done on the weightloss. Time for headphones to block out noisy neighbours!

Still not set up for working at home, today has been a long one but I'm working through plans and ideas.

Whilst the benefit of being of a comfortable sofa, compared to an office chair has been appreciated, I've barely moved from it, not taken as many meds as I would have by now and also allowed myself to sit in a cold flat.
    - Pain level is making itself known. Must learn from this for tomorrow.

I've enquired about pausing my degree, I'm too focused on everything else at the moment and next to nothing about myself. By picking it up again next academic year, everything should be a lot more stable.
    - felt quite disappointed sending the email, but it's for the best at this moment in time, I need one less pressure.

Three of the above neighbours now have coughs, one has been walking up and down the stairs coughing their guts up. Urgh.
    - Tempted to print one of the 'stay inside' guides and 'symptoms guides' to pin on the front / back communal doors.

I've had my fruit and fibre for breakfast, banana for lunch and planning Falafel and salad for tea tonight. Yum!

    4 days until payday.

  • Sorry to hear you are in pain. I’ve been home since Tuesday and am making my spring clean / to do list to make myself keep getting up & moving. It’s hard when all I want to do is lounge on the sofa & watch tv 😆

@Skint_yet_Again I'm banned from doing housework, so can't even half-hearted do that as the giveaway will be all over my face trying to pretend it didn't hurt.

I could wrap and pack some fragile / glass items ready for the move, but do I want to risk using my newspaper supply 😂

I may have to see what I've got on a USB stick to watch in a bit as I can't hack another 6 hours of noise above my head. I'm sure I've some loud action films and could plug in my full speaker system to really lose myself into whatever I'm watching 🤭🤭

My cat happily sleeps through it though and I've enjoyed being round her today, wonder if work will let me take her in when things get back to normal 🤔

I'm pleased the phone emojis work on this forum now, allows the opportunity of expression without hoping words are enough!

  • Sorry I wasn’t suggesting you should be doing housework, it’s just what works for me. I have to not overdo it otherwise I will spend the whole isolation (12 weeks?) flat on my back on the floor 😕

I didn't take it as that, I would love to give this place a good clean as it would be one less thing to do when I'm leaving!

I'm sure I will find something to keep myself out of trouble.

Decided to watch Smokey and the Bandit, loud American, now classic, cars 😁😁😁
