I'm sure everything will get sorted and my solicitor will get his act together!
I've no symptoms, happy to keep attending work, I rarely see anyone considering the size of the building. I also drive in so have next to no contact with anyone.

My solicitor surfaced!
He is now saying wait until I've passed my probation and got the extended mortgage offer, before concluding missives (exchanging). He is now liaising with the sellers solicitors and I'm still on track for moving next month.
Apparently I will be getting a full run down of the papers, but I'm not expecting anything to pop up to concern me.
Wonder if it's possible to exchange and complete on the same day up here? It's just a thought that popped into my head.
I've spoken with my boss, he has the ok to end my probation early, just needs to see how early he can get away with.
Spent a few hours trying to set up my system to work from home, have to try again tomorrow.
Had steak, onions and carrots for tea.
I'm so tired now and pleased it's Friday tomorrow.

That all sounds so positive! I've been working from home recently. It's nice to be sat somewhere peaceful, but I do wish I had a seperate office space.3

@atrixa I've enjoyed working from home in previous roles, but the one I'm in isn't straight forward and I need access to everything I have at work.
I do enjoy having my own office at work as I can play music all day, sing along to it etc and no-one bats an eyelid!
Normally I would have a full office set-up at home, but my priority has been saving. It wasn't even on my to do list to properly finish off after moving, it was to remain a half-hearted space until I got the money together. Ergonomic equipment isn't cheap.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Tell me about it! I was looking at prices for office chairs the other day and I was horrified. I might try to get one second hand but I bet the demand is quite high at the moment.3

@atrixa if my new chair at work is suitable, I will buy one for home, but at upto £1k, it's nothing to rush into.
@Skint_yet_Again as soon as I've the letter and extension I'm going full steam ahead. If I get the letter very soon and have sufficient time left on my current offer, I will be moving asap. Unless the seller then drags it out *shudders*Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Friday update.
I'm now working from home, on my phone, albeit with limited resources. Will try and rectify that over the weekend. If not, I will formulate a few back up plans.
Occasionally I will be in the office for a couple of hours, but I just need to stock pile work to justify me going in and not staying at home!
My boss is considering putting me in another location to work, but that probably won't happen.
Would have preferred to be grounded in my new flat, but these things happen.
Because of everything going on, I can't get my probation letter yet, my boss is still trying though. Sorry if it comes across as selfish, I just need a bit of normality and things to focus on.
Even though it's lovely and sunny outside, I've had to put the heating on. Such a poor designed flat to have the lounge at the front when the sun is out the back all day.
Council tax bill in, that's an extra £5 per month, which is suppose isn't too bad as it covers the tax and water.
No increase in the gas payment, electric is pre-pay. Think my phone has gone up, but that's less than a quid when it does. Will be saving on petrol over the next few weeks / month.
Not sure my cat realises I'm home, and have been for a while, all she has done is snored since I got home.
I was going to treat myself to a kebab tonight, but my routine feels odd, also didn't get the card for mother's Day, she will just have to put up with a phone call!
£21 in the bank, 7 days til payday.

Hi MF not selfish at all to be thinking of your probation letter, your move has been your focus for so long and it is good to have some normality & something else to focus on. The world is not about to end, but life will sure be different for some time.!0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I agree the world will be different, but it will return to a new normal in due course.
I'm going to be one of the lucky ones, if my purchase goes through*, as I will be saving money if I stick to my current spending and do not do the ice cream, meal outs, frequent hair cuts, eyebrows etc. It means I can build up a safety net, which is my new current plan. *Concern being it's the sub-prime lenders who tighten belts first.
Once I get my mortgage offer extended, I can breathe.
Having my little garden to get out and grow a few supplies, plus bagging a bit of my OHs sisters allotment, the beach / water in walking distance means I can get out.
