Glad you got free dental treatment. For us as a couple we pay £53 a month private.
You are getting there with your AF fund. Nearly the end of the week. Hope your pain is more manageable. My physio went lighter on me this week when I said how much pain I was in after last time. She wonders if I have a horizontal rather than vertical tear and is sure the MRI will show something.

Thank you, it's not getting any better at the moment.

I saw your post, I just couldn't think of what to say and wanted to put thought behind anything I did. Sometimes I read, thank and then think overnight before commenting.

Think it's just the check up that's free, last time I went I had broken two teeth, had a check up and scale / polish - had change out of £20. That's why I thought there was a smaller charge than England. Maybe my dentist thinks I'm heading towards an expensive bill hehe.

Got the hard sales push from reception about booking in with the hygienist, which annoyed me and made me even more determined not to!

The kebab was sooooo good, I could identify everything that was on it, without playing guess the sauce. I'm so pleased yours is back, we need a good kebab every now and again

Went to do my shopping after work, the panic buying detailed in the news is true. It's disheartening, it's upsetting and it shows the mentality of some people.
--- Next to no fresh fruit / veg / fresh meat / bread etc.
--- No meds / milk / jar sauces / pasta / noodles / soap etc.
--- I saw people loading up their trollies with loads of the same items, while keeping an eye on their stash. I also saw people just trying to do their normal shopping. Ended up striking up a conversation with a couple of shoppers when we saw the state of the soap and medical racks.

I did manage to do a shop and have had to adapt what I would normally buy.
---As long as you can cook and create meals, you will be ok.
---If you can only boil pasta and heat pasta sauces, you better buy a basic cookbook.

Topped my car up with petrol while I was out, put in my prescription requests and have also signed up for repeat prescription ordering online.
--- It will be easier than me trying to get requests to the Dr and I won't ever rely on a chemist ordering for me, after the fiasco I've had since asking B@@ts to do it. Have I said I've 9 months supply of one lot of my meds because of them repeatedly ordering / dispensing them?

The solicitor didn't call this week, nor has he emailed me. Will email him over the weekend and ask for an email setting out what he wants to say / tell me about my new flat.

Emailing my broker the weekend, to ask for the mortgage offer to be extended. Once that's done I can exchange contracts.

Anyhow, nothing exciting planned for the weekend as I desperately need to rest.

There was no pasta, handwash, anti-bac wipes or paracetamol/ ibuprofen in Aldi but no shortage of anything else. I usually cook from scratch, but there was plenty of ready meals / frozen food pizza etc. Maybe I was lucky at my local store but there was lots of fruit /veg. Mind you I did my shop around 1pm so I guess it also depends what time you go & fridays are always busy.

Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend

I either do my shopping on a Friday after work about 4.30pm, or a Sunday about 1pm, never seen the shop like it, even on the run up to Christmas.

Hopefully people will revert to normal soon as if I'm forced into a daily diet of processed foods I will be in trouble due to my stomach.

Getting shopping delivered is another good option. I went to the shops yesterday and today and there was no soap. Ordered loo roll from Am***** in the end -  as it  was saying sold out  even at supermarkets online outlets.

In the last place I did used to get my shopping delivered, but where I am now it's pretty much the only contact with the outside world, aside from work. But might go back to that when I move, as I will have everything else to visit in the area.

My life currently consists of going to work each day and shopping a few times a month. Everything else is done at home eg my course, plotting and planning etc. Due to the weather, I'm not getting to the beach and I'm at risk of becoming a recluse, aside from work.

I just wondered whether 'food security' might be a priority right now. That way you potentially get stuff that hasn't been put out on the shelves yet.
