Scottishpower came out cheapest for me with £80 cashback via quidco. Also get a £20 Virgin Wines voucher but only if buying £60+ wines.0

In the end, e-on was the cheapest for me (all-electric) with a £17.50 cashback from Moneysupermarket and Tesco points per kWh from e-on.
Seems a good time to swap suppliers.0 -
in my opinion, E.on seem to generally be lower on tariff cost.
However, they have next to no compassion. and dont care how skint you are.
I live my self, and im forced to pay a hundred a month duel fuel, you go work that one out!
They go on about their discounts and whatnot, but when do you actually see these? And they wont even tell me when its best to submit my meter readings, all I want is a better service.Only Linux make is possible!0 -
I had EDF call at my door offering me their Annual Fixed Price. I am currently with BG on a price protection until April 2010 and paying much cheaper prices. He says they will keep me on this price for as long as I keep within the scheme. Can anyone confirm this is the case, or is it just salesmans talk to get me signed up?0

Hi rdpeat,
I noticed you wrote this above and thought I'd clarify.
The Tesco clubcard offer with E.ON is you receive 1 point for every £2 you spend towards your energy usage.
You won't get a point for each kWh you consume.

Hi nutellajunkie,
If you’re struggling to pay your energy bills, we can help. I apologise if you feel that the service you’ve received is poor, this isn’t what I’d expect.
The only way to reduce the amount you pay is by either changing your tariff for something cheaper or by reducing your consumption. If you’re already on the best tariff available then you will need to take steps to save energy.
Have you tried discussing how to reduce your consumption with E.ON? If you talk with us and explain the situation you are in and that you need to make savings, we have people who can help.
Ask to speak with the energy efficiency team and you’ll be able to discuss your usage and get loads of great advice, also we’ll see if you are entitled to any energy grants and benefits. :money:
Any questions give me a shout.

Salesman is talking misleading rubbish. Yes, you can fix your price again at the end of the year, but it will be at a completely different price - not the same price that you agree to today. (June 2010 is when the fix is next changed.)0 -
Theres plenty of places offering good deals to switch, you just have to be thorough in your research....from money supermarket types, straight with the supplier to smaller companies.
Ive just bought a website called www. moneysavingtipsonline .co.uk to offer similar services to help drive down pricing for the general public. Its not launched yet and id love all of your advice/thoughts on how i can run the site to help people like me & you.0 -
Got my MoneySupermarket £30 cashback today - I'd completely forgotten about it so that's my weekend out paid for! I'd switched in March and received my £20 Quidco in May.
I'm with nPower, and I'm half surprised as I've been with nPower for years on their Standard tariff (dual fuel). Win win for me as my bills will be cheaper, I'd love to know what's in it for nPower as they obviously paid MoneySupermarket for my business.. (which they already had!)0 -
hi,
i'm moving into a new place so i'm not switching companies but starting from scratch with gas and electricity suppliers.
