Less than 6 weeks to opening. Hoping for close to £200 when we get there based on very loose in head estimates, but will find out before too long. No roadkill for a few days  but a few more pounds of travel savings potted.

Oh my dear Sue, I am so sorry to hear about your tooth pain. It's horrendous to have that as well as everything else you have to cope with.  I hope the appointment comes through very soon.  G and I are waiting for hospital appointments too, G for an MRI scan and me for 2 different departments including dermatology for a suspicious looking patch of skin on my temple which refuses to heal   Damn and blast this virus.....
Anyway, I popped in to report £7.94 potted from a cashback site payout.  Pickings will be lean this year but it's looking like Christmas could well be cancelled for us this year so we won't need much!

Hi Hetty, it's good to see you've got your little lad's bike sorted for Christmas. I'm sure the majority of us parents have had to get friends to look out for bikes and all sorts of things for Christmas. 

I hope you enjoyed the visit to your friend and her DD.

I wouldn't be at surprised at another lockdown being on the way. Inevitable being as the numbers have shot up, so quickly too! 😞

Hi little_sweetie! It's much better now thanks A, it just annoys me that he couldn't have left it to the hospital instead of the pain all over again when the roots are removed. I may be wrong but I think the dentist wanted his cut too! After all he knew exactly how the roots were situated from the x-ray. 

I hope G's MRI turns out well, your dermatology appointment too. Such a pest. Everything has got waylaid due to the virus, blasted thing. I feel so sorry for cancer patients still waiting, though I think they're getting things together now.

Good potting A. I understand what you mean about Christmas this year, T and I are pretty sure we will be spending it by ourselves, it was last Christmas Day that gave us the virus! Our SIL had what we thought was a shocking cold, but it wasn't. I don't think T & I have ever been so ill, for 3 weeks too! Hugs and love for you too A. Bless you both.

Afternoon potters, well today we finally got to lay Dear Uncle to rest, it was a sad day in mny ways including the fact that only 7 of us could actually attend the funeral (all his living brothers and sisters bar DH's dad were too old to make the 200+ mile journey and his friends from his flats are all elderly so we worried about them catching the dreaded covid if they came).
The 7 of us went for a lovely meal afterwards though at DS's work place, we had to sit at 2 tables due to the 6 people limit but it was still a nice afternoon.
DH's best friend came today and as he walked in my kitchen he pressed 2 x £2 coins into my hand, see everyone knows how to make me smile even on the saddest of days
I have dropped all the boys down the pub so I am expecting a pocket full of change for the tin when they stagger back later on.

I'm sure you have a point regarding the dentist Sue! The hospital would have been better sorting it out for you initially. Glad it's a bit easier at the moment though. I had no idea that you and T have had the virus  How absolutely awful to be ill for 3 weeks with it too.  It's a nasty pasty for sure.  Did any other members of the family get it too?  I dread Zoe getting it because I won't be able to help her with the rules as they are at the moment.  It makes me so cross that some people are so blase about it all, thinking that if they get it they won't be very ill anyway.  What about their loved ones? Their Nans & Grandpas?  Don't set me off!! 
No potting going on here at the mo.

I agree, little_sweetie, the 'I'm alright Jack' mentality of some people is so very frustrating and it looks like our lives are about to be restricted again.  Not that my life has really started up again, anyway!  I think it's going to be a long winter this year.....
In brighter news, I found 20p in a jacket pocket and promptly potted it Also will be potting my weekly virtual £5.

Hi jakes-mum, I'm pleased to hear DH's Uncle's funeral went as well as any funeral can do. A shame about the amount of folk, but that's the trouble with age, and the fact that folk have to be wary of their own health nowadays. Good potting

I'm glad you agree about the dentist, little_sweetie, it makes me so angry but what would he worry. 

If T & I didn't have Covid 19 then  we and DD, and DSIL would love to know what we did have! Never before have we had anything so vile in our lives, we really were terrible. T & I didn't even go to bed for 10 nights as the coughing was so awful; that compounded with the vicious headache was horrific! Sadly that was just after Christmas and no testing was being done.

I don't want to be mean A, but in a sense, you not being able to go and help Zoe, IF she gets it, isn't a bad thing as the likelihood is, she would be able to get over it relatively ok whereas it would mean that both you and G, could be seriously ill, if not end up in hospital, honestly! However, I can well  understand how any Mother's first thoughts are for our children, it's only natural.

Re others being so blasé about it, they're obviously the ones whose only thoughts are for themselves! Although there's a lot of kindness in the world, at times such as this, selflessness can often prevail!! 😡

I'm glad you agree with the 'Im alright jack' attitude of a lot of folk, not always just the young either!! 😡

T & I will stay much the same as we've remained all through, you just can't afford to take any chances!

Having a wander (well, with me on crutches still) around our little rec last night and DH spotted a £1 coin, then another followed by 2 x 2ps!!! I wonder if someone had pulled something out of their pocket and the money fell onto the grass!! Don't worry, we took no chances, DH picked it up in a dog bag. We scrubbed it later to be on the safe side! 🤩 

By the way, I've started gentle physio now thank goodness! It's been 3 long months so hopefully I'm on the winning side! ❤️

look who turned up this afternoon!  She was soaking wet and filthy but otherwise not a mark on her.  She is incredibly thin and weighed hardly anything when I picked her up.  She has eaten a tin of sardines and is now asleep in her basket under my bed.  I am beyond happy 😆

She seems ok, very quiet and lacking energy and strength but she’s obviously been trapped inside somewhere.  No injury, fleas or anything like that.  She’s had a little bit of salmon this morning and is drinking water.  She’s currently asleep on a blanket in my son’s room.  I’ll continue with the salmon and will try and get some weight gain food from pets at home.  She looks better for just being dry 🙂
