Hi welshspendthrift, I hope you also had a good weekend. I'm so pleased you're glad we're keeping SPC going. 

It doesn't matter how long you've been with us, as soon as members join us, they're part of the family, so hope you're nicely settled in!

It doesn't look great for our savings this year, but as you rightly said, it all counts, so when you declare your potting on the 29th October, be happy with it whatever the amount. Be proud at what you've achieved!!

Ahh there you are, 32b3!! 😲Again I'd been more than a little worried about you as it seems ages since we've seen you. Anyway, you're back at last so we know you're well. 😀

So, you'll soon be back to work again, though what a walk! Still, at least you'll be in the fresh air and not in iffy public transport.

All the very best to your DH, I can quite understand his thoughts about what his uncle should wear and worrying about him being cold, they're as natural in death as they are in life believe me.

By golly your young DGS is really growing up! I hope he enjoys his time at the big school. It seems as though your DD as well as your hubby and yourself have it all planned out for it all to be easy going for her.

Don't worry about the C word now as that SPC member is no longer here so we're safe. 😆

I've been through it a bit this week. An emergency appointment with an x-ray on a very painful molar told the Dentist it was going to be hard work as the roots were poorly placed! I was given an appointment for Monday and the first thing he told me was: I might need to refer you to the hospital due to the roots! He cracked the tooth about terribly in order to get it out then did all sorts in order to get the roots out. 3/4 of an hour later he admitted defeat and said I'd need to be referred, but there's a waiting list!! 

I'm now in a great deal of pain and haven't a clue when a similar procedure will take place. All part of life.

So sorry to hear such sad news from our lovely Potters.  I'm sending very sincere sympathies to you all. 
Well, things have been busy in the Siju household.  We moved DS and his fiancee into their new house last weekend and then the WAG promptly locked down that borough!  Thank goodness we managed to get everything done over the weekend.  DS is spending the next 2 weeks settling in and then he starts a new job so he is quite happy to stay at home.  The downside is that we had planned to take MIL and FIL to see his new house but that will now have to wait.  Also, DH has been suffering with his back since the move (overdone the lifting, I should think) and is shuffling around the house getting under my feet at every opportunity.  I do sympathise, as he is rarely ill but I'm afraid I wouldn't make a great nurse 
Nothing extra to pot, just my regular £5.  Have a lovely weekend folks and please stay safe

Ahh Frogletina, so sorry for the loss of your son last year, I was told that the first year is the worst as each day is another 'first' without them
We have settled upon his golf jumper, a clean white shirt and his golf tie with some tailored trousers for Dear Uncle to wear as he was golfing mad, he only gave up playing a couple of years ago as he could no longer walk the 18 holes (not that he didn't try every so often!)  Been to see the funeral director, picked him a lovely scatter box for his ashes to be taken back to his birth place and a matching tiny one that DH can keep a little bit of him here with us.
Hoping you get your appointment at the hospital soon Sue, tooth pain is the absolute worst!
Lots of pennies in the pots today, MIL and FIL have come down for the funeral and MIL had a £2 coin in her purse!! I made her swap that up with me immediately! No-one gets to have a £2 coin in this house!

Frogletina - Very sorry to hear of your difficulties. I am sure you will hold huge love and pride in your heart for your son forever.
Lots of testing times for many on here at the moment. Thoughts with you all.  

Found TWO separate 5p pieces of roadkill this week. Potted them with my usual travel savings.

Potting suspended again- after having to buy a new cooker the fridge died too!!!!! I'm going to do my mum's trick for avoiding a third broken item - break a match! Hope everyone's ok and doing better potting than me at the moment x

I'm delighted you've managed to move your DS in time, siju. I'm so very sorry to hear that your DH has suffered as a result of all that lifting though. He and my DH are both in the same situation and what pain that is as it hampers every bit of movement. My DH's Is the result of falling off of a tractor trailer when he was young. I sincerely hope they're both soon feeling so much better. Go for a walk with him as often as you can as walking really does help free it up. 

All the very best wishes to your DS with his new job. I really hope your MIL and FIL will soon be able to see your DS's new home.

I'm so pleased you've settled on the appropriate clothing for your DH's Uncle's funeral. As he'd been a golfer it seems the perfect solution.

I really like the idea of his ashes and I hope your DH will find it a great comfort to have some at home with you all; he'll still be part of the family. 🙂

Your poor MIL, I doubt she'd been in the house for five minutes before you went round with the pot!!

I've never heard of your dear Mum's "breaking a match" to avoid another breakage in the house, but I sincerely hope it works!

I'm feeling a lot better now and can, thankfully, manage with half the amount of pain killers!

I picked up ANOTHER 5p piece for the pot yesterday. That’s 3 in less than a week. Folk round here clearly throw their cash around like confetti! 

In a world where many of us have bad news lately I had some great news yesterday. I’m not generally a fan of 6.30am calls on a Sunday, but this was my niece telling me that their cat that had escaped at the vet’s in July had been found safe and well. We all thought he was long gone. Hopefully that will give Hettyhound some comfort. Never give up hope!

Oh Ant thank you for that news!  Still no sign of Millie but every time I go in the garden I expect her to just jump over the fence and act like nothing has happened.  I also found 5p roadkill in b and q car park so safely potted it 😁. Well best get back to work.

Evening peoples 😁. No potting to report but I will be taking!  I’ve arranged to buy a bike from a friend for my son’s Christmas present.  It looks in very good condition and they are asking £55.  Another friend is going to let me store it in their garage until Christmas.  Tomorrow we are going to visit my friend who we are socially bubbled with.  It’s her daughters 16th on Monday so we have a gift and best do it before we all get locked down again.  That’s all really, cuppa and book before bed then do it all again tomorrow 😉
