I know how horrible it is to have to empty a loved ones home, jakes-mum, we've had to do it twice in the last few years. Its upsetting to say the least. Just imagine uncle urging you on....

He would be doing that if we threw it away he'd be going 'what you doing? that could have made you £20!' Eeeeeeeeeek less than a month to gooooooooooooooo! Another £65 from sales today, we've only had one no show so far so thats good going (still darned annoying when you have to drive to meet them!) I 'may' have responded to their 'oh sorry I come tomorrow' message with a rather curt reply of how not turning up is extremely rude and to have some respect for other people who have told you when you asked for it that they would have to travel some distance to meet you!
A very Good Morning Potters! I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend and will have a lovely week.
Do please TAKE CARE & STAY HEALTHY EVERYONE!!
For
all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in
any way, our very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling very much
better.

Hi little-sweetie, sorry to keep you waiting, it's been a hectic
couple of days one way or the other.
However, our DGD gave birth to a darling
little boy 👼 on Saturday!!! 🤗 Sheand herpartnerareecstatic! 🥰🥰❤️
I'msopleasedZoe is using click and collect so she
can keep away from shops, marvellous!
I can see why you were worried about her given that they're in an area
under lockdown. Has your DGS's school been shut down yet? I hope so if a teacher
is poorly with Covid, let's hope he or she makes a good recovery!
Let's hope Zoe's DH stays safe for all their sales!
Your allotment is about the safest place to be as you can get plenty of
fresh air, vital to us all providing it's in the countryside and not in towns or
any people places! Keep healthy A, G and all the family too. 😷😍🤩
It's wonderful to hear that Millie's recovering well, Hetty,
excellent news. It's about time you had a break from the tooth fairy, she's
certainly made a fair few visits to your home!
Well done with your potting.
It's not going to be an easy year for Christmas shopping this year
sadly.
It's always a horrible job in clearing out the home of a loved one,
jakes-mum. DH & I had to do my Mum's while she was still in hospital,
knowing she would be going into a care home after. It was a thankless task as
due to suffering from altzheimers she had so much you just wouldn't give house
room too amongst her treasures. 😞
It sounds as though your DH's uncle was up there urging you both on with
what to do with his belongings, a lot to be said for that, bless him.
I'm pleased you have his box to cherish. Great going with your sales and potting!
It's astounding to think we've so little time to go before the Declaration
Day, Hetty!!!! 😲
Excellent potting, Lost!!
£20 added to the IOU sheet from last Friday.

CONGRATULATIONS, SUE on the birth of your darling little Great Grandson! That's fabulous news Re my GC's school: Year 10 have been sent home for two weeks but GS is year 9 and GD year 11 so they are still braving school at the moment Although the allotment is in the centre of the village, Sue, we try to go during quiet times so that we hardly meet anyone. We use gloves to open and lock the gate too and are fanatical with the anti-bac gel ! It's lovely to tend the veg quietly to the gentle hum of village traffic.... Not long to go 'til pot opening day...... Stay well everyone x
Great news Sue - congratulations to you and your family. I’m sure you’ll make a great great-grandmother! Like several I’ve been waiting for your news. Will have a proper read and post later in the week

Congratulations Sue on the birth of your great grandson.🎉🎉🎉 lovely news. Not much potting as been away in Cyprus, felt very safe there in a villa and everywhere very quiet. It has a very low Covid rate better than here and back to cold wet weather! Will be checking out the bottom of handbag for any loose change to pot. Hope everyone is safe and well.

Fantastic news Sue-UU I bet you are thrilled to bits Congratulations to you all, such cheerful news xx Not a pleasant job at all, jakes-mum, I was exhausted after clearing my parents' house, I don't think my father had thrown anything out since 1970 It was the paperwork that was the hardest to sort because you couldn't just throw it out! It's an emotional rollercoaster and I feel for you Well I've recently changed banks and my new bank have an option to save the change from debit card spending and although the interest on the saving account is rubbish, I thought I would use the account as if I was potting change for my SPC, as my pot didn't get any interest, then it really doesn't matter if the bank account doesn't either! It's the saving that matters. So as well as my £5 lockdown potting this week, I am adding another 86p to the pot. Whoopee! Stay safe and well everyone,
Congratulations Sue-UU on the safe arrival of your great grandson 💕 jakes-mum I can empathise with how you must be feeling, mil died in April and when sorting out her things I felt as if I was trespassing. Siju I agree with the amount of paperwork 😂
On the potting front, I’m doing ok I think - we’ll find out in 28 days 😱
